of dogs in animal shelters is at an all - time low.

A large number
of dogs in animal shelters are pit bulls and pit - bull mixes, fighting animals from illegal gambling operations, and many with behavioral disorders.
However, 40 percent
of dogs in animal shelters are characterized as bully breeds, and 20 percent of those are called pit bulls.
It is currently a significant factor in the euthanasia of almost 60 % of cats and more than 30 %
