This is inherent due to several factors, which include, but are not limited to, atmospheric conditions (temp, barometric readings, etc), testing conditions (do they place a fan in front of the radiator, how tight did they tie down the vehicle, etc), type
of dyno (eddy current or acceleration), or manufacturer of the dyno itself (Mustang, Dynojet, Superflow, etc.).

of dyno will work in this situation because you are only trying to get the most out of the vehicle no matter the power / torque levels.

Different
dynos can employ different means
of measuring the power a car is producing.
Almost, but somehow Burstein manages to drive it, even though the
dyno says 414 hp at a screaming 7,300 hp and 317 lb - ft
of torque at a similarly busy 6,500 rpm, measured at the wheels.

I just did a cold test on my fresh off the
dyno engine, over the past 20 yrs I've gotten use to zero gap second rings that read 0 - 4 % cold most
of the time and 0 % when warm.
Before you do work on a vehicle
of a performance nature, it's a good habit to get into to put the vehicle on a
dyno and test it out to see what are it's current power / torque levels.
The naturally aspirated 6 - litre unit delivers a claimed 611bhp (we'll get the exact figure later on the
dyno) and 448 lb ft, which should test the traction
of the rear tyres, though as with the 612 Scaglietti, their task is assisted by the fact that the car's masses are configured to give a rearward weight bias.
A couple days after the
dyno's resounding affirmation
of the V - 8's rude health, I mount the Mickey Thompsons — size 305/35 -19 — and drive two hours to Darlington Dragway.
If you are using two different
dynos to check your results, these numbers are going to be farther away from the truth
of the gain (or decrease).
Same day runs
of the same car on the same
dyno should be the same or very nearly the same (keeping in mind that a cold, a warm and a heat soaked car will all make different horsepower).
It was pointed out to me that if you do two back to back runs
of the same car on the same
dyno the graph
of the results will be different.
