of Earth Balance Vegan Cheddar Squares (guilty pleasure!).
I simply sawed the top off, scooped out the innards (reserving the seeds), placed a tbsp
of Earth Balance spread, cinnamon, salt, pepper, and a tbsp of pure maple syrup into the cavity and a little on the top half and roasted at 350 - degrees for around 30 minutes.
I use this in lieu
of Earth Balance with my meals.
What about using Ghee instead
of the Earth balance?
1 packet (or about 1/2 cup) vanilla whey protein powder, included and measured in with 1 1/2 cups of spelt flour (* 8/21/14 update, I'd suggest using sprouted spelt flour, or a gluten free flour blend) 2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/4 cup or half a stick
of Earth Balance buttery sticks, melted (* 8/21/14 I'd suggest using real, grass - fed butter or coconut oil) 1/2 cup vanilla almond milk 1 egg 3/4 one large apple, grated — skin on 1 cup fresh blueberries
My favorite popcorn sounds kinda crazy but its amazing: Melt about a tablespoon
of Earth Balance vegan butter and sprinkle in about half a teaspoon of dehydrated mushroom powder and swirl it around (then pour it on the popcorn).
There I saw the ingredient list, including 8 tablespoons
of Earth Balance from the freezer.
And my mind flashed to the half stick
of Earth Balance I cut into little squares before dropping into my flour.
Maybe a little dry to work with, so I might play around with the proportion
of Earth Balance, but I won't go back up to 8 tablespoons again.
I heated the oven to 425, spayed a baking sheet with Olive Oil, rolled the mix into balls and dipped the one end of each ball into a bit
of Earth Balance (to get the flavor).
The only non-dairy spread / shortening I've found that we can use is earth balance organic coconut spread (all the rest
of the earth balance products have either soy or pea protein in them, which are a no go).
Using a pastry cutter, blend the butter into the flour mixture until it is grainy with small pebbles
of Earth Balance.
I think next time I will try them with rosemary mixed in and palm oil instead
of Earth Balance.

of the Earth Balance spread?
Cashew Butter Frosting 1/2 cup of smooth, unsweetened cashew butter 3 tbsp
of earth balance (or vegan margarine of choice) 1 cup of powdered sugar 2 tbsp of full fat coconut milk 1 tsp of vanilla extract
The recipe only calls for 1/4 cup
of Earth Balance, which isn't a lot spread over 15 cookies, so I think ghee will be fine.
Stir in a tablespoon or two
of Earth Balance or other vegan buttery spread, and season with salt.
Evidently I didn't photograph my breakfast either, but it was my preggo standard — two fried eggs with toast and a pound
of Earth Balance.

I made a huge batch of niter kibbeh with a tub
of Earth Balance spiced with savoury spices like cinnamon, cardamom, coriander, garlic, and ginger.
In the recipe I say that I calculate the calories with applesauce, but that still leaves one tablespoon
of Earth Balance for the filling.

Next, grab a stick

I did use the full Tablespoon of vinegar and 6 TBSP
of Earth Balance margarine.
Once they were cooked to full crunchiness, there was no hint
of that Earth Balance taste, which is why, I think, vegan sugar cookies tend to be a little gross.

I made this last night using coconut oil instead
of Earth Balance, it was delicious!
I'm not a fan of coconut so I used 1/2 cup
of earth balance soy free natural buttery spread instead.
Hmmm... I'm not a fan
of Earth Balance vegan spread, but it would probably be a decent substitute for the coconut oil if you have to use something different.
That's always my # 1 complaint with baking vegan cookies that don't have a TON
of earth balance in them!
I also use the spreadable version
of earth balance could that be the reason?
You probably can't tell the volume
of Earth Balance in either of these photos, but since the bread was home - made it soaked it all up like a sponge.
I like to use a very small amount (< 1/4 teaspoon)
of Earth Balance Buttery Spread before pouring the batter on the griddle.
I ended up needing an extra Tbsp
of earth balance and another....
I cut in a tiny bit
of Earth Balance and put it all on the cake.
I did add 2 tablespoons
of Earth Balance to the crumble mixture, and it browned beautifully.

of Earth Balance and olive oil for assembling the pastry, and 1 teaspoon of olive oil instead
