Years ago at a different journal (now defunct) he drew the assignment
of editing the manuscript of a friend who was also a very distinguished scholar (now deceased).
In the course
of editing the manuscript, most copyeditors will also produce a style sheet for the book listing the correct spellings of any unusual names, the proper format for each element in the manuscript, and any other usage or style guidelines that will be useful to other people reviewing the book farther down the production line.
I will mark my corrections and suggestions on the pages (or in the file)
of the edited manuscript you send me.
Now I'll share my process
of editing a manuscript.
An editorial review is offered to authors who need guidance in deciding which level
of editing their manuscript needs.
I'm currently scheduling about a month out and half of the agreed upon payment is due up front by PayPal to lock you into my schedule with the remainder due upon receipt
of the edited manuscript.
Editing comes in three basic flavors: feedback on the story, editing for the writing itself, and a final cleanup
of the edited manuscript.
After that, however, came the grind
of editing the manuscript into readable material.
This individual will be capable
of editing your manuscript and providing a fresh set of unbiased eyes to double - check your work.
While much depends on what level
of editing your manuscript has already undergone, for most authors, I recommend seeking a formal copyedit: you send the manuscript to a professional freelance copyeditor, who will focus on style, grammar, and consistency issues — and might possibly do light fact - checking if needed (very useful for nonfiction).

of them usually — between three different binders, and I
