The global warming / climate change noise machine has reached a crescendo this week with Al Gore's trip to Oslo to pick up his Nobel Peace Prize, our colleges sponsoring» Focus the Nation» weeks to promote the self - evident moral truth
of combating warming, and
above all the U.N. - sponsored Bali conference meant to produce a
treaty to succeed the soon - to - expire Kyoto.

Additional support for this conclusion arguably is provided by the established principles that: (i) «any ambiguities or doubtful expressions in the wording
of the
treaty or document must be resolved in favour
of the Indians»; and (ii) «any limitations which restrict the rights

above mentioned
treaties and agreements have open up markets on both sides as well as increased the stability, predictability
of the trading environment, and the number
of our clients, foreign companies and investors with numerous activities in both economies.
In the longer term, the obvious problem
of a proliferation
of individual,
treaty - specific investment courts is sought to be overcome by the establishment
of the MIC referred to
above, which would have jurisdiction over disputes arising under any number
of investment
treaties.
The obligation on Australia (the State) to provide housing to disadvantaged groups arises from the Government's commitment to a number
of international human rights
treaties which are discussed
above.
