everything I whip up

kitchen is a home run, but this smoothie is an out -
of - the - park grand slam.
I've been gradually trying to reduce my food supplies so I don't have to cart too much home and don't have repeats
of everything in my home

I do love those clean, white
kitchens with minimal

in the end I decided that
in order to stay true to my heart, I had to go with something a little more feminine and detail - oriented, with a hint
of the Downton Abbey
kitchen.
Thankfully, I scrubbed and scrubbed and had to throw out a bunch
of things and seal
everything else up, and it took forever, but it's been months since I've seen a moth
in the
kitchen.
Unfortunately, I just found out I have an allergy with almonds so

in my cupboard is now getting tossed out

In an organized rush to get
everything on our to - do list crossed off before we make the trek to Philly, I've packed most
of my beloved dishes, small appliances, pots and pans, silverware and other
kitchen necessities.
Everything gets topped off with a can
of cherry pie filling and you have a decadent, no - bake dessert that looks like you spent hours

I don't know about you but some nights I'm either so hungry if I wait for an involved dinner I'll be eating

everything I had
in the vegetable category — leftovers, the
kitchen's flotsam and jetsam — simmering on the stove, imbued with the health
of winter plants like onion, garlic, carrots, celery, fennel, mushrooms, potatoes, squash, sweet potatoes, cabbage, kale, and a few destitute peas from the hinterlands
of the freezer.
So while we all know that you can't make a highball without ice, we rarely take time to stop and think
of everything else these frozen blocks can do for us
in the
kitchen.
