of feedback sheets for AQA GCSE RE: Linked to my checklists for the 12 and 5 mark questions using acronyms of F.A.R.M.E.R.S and S.E.E.D.S. Feedback sheets are for a: - Single topic paper on Beliefs / Practices or a single theme - Two topic paper on Beliefs and Practices or two themes - A full Mock paper on two religions and four themes.
I still shudder when I pick up a stack
of feedback sheets after a speaking engagement, or when I submit an article to an editor and don't get an «atta boy» an hour or two later!

The paper also describes an atmosphere - ocean modeling study
of feedback loops caused by ice
sheet melting under 2 °C conditions.
A new study says that climate - induced
feedback loops could lead to a change in ocean stratification and the more rapid melting
of ice
sheets.
Some climate scientists, including James E. Hansen, former head
of the nasa Goddard Institute for Space Studies, say we must also consider slower
feedbacks such as changes in the continental ice
sheets.
Placing a
sheet of atomically - thin graphene into a
feedback circuit causes spontaneous self - oscillation that can be tuned to create frequency modulated (FM) signals.
For this subsystem, many
of the longer term
feedbacks in the full climate system (such as ice
sheets, vegetation response, the carbon cycle) and some
of the shorter term bio-geophysical
feedbacks (methane, dust and other aerosols) are explicitly excluded.
The climate sensitivity classically defined is the response
of global mean temperature to a forcing once all the «fast
feedbacks» have occurred (atmospheric temperatures, clouds, water vapour, winds, snow, sea ice etc.), but before any
of the «slow»
feedbacks have kicked in (ice
sheets, vegetation, carbon cycle etc.).
It's a positive
feedback cycle, a viscious loop that means that future recession
of the ice stream is inevitable (see Marine Ice
Sheet Instability and previous post).
As more ice are removed near the ice margin, more intraplate earthquakes are induced and this positive
feedback may explain the fast collapse
of ice
sheets.
This mitigates the albedo
feedback, as does the lowering in sea level that accompanies the formation
of ice
sheets.
Is there a triggering point beyond which a
feedback process is put into action that will accelerate the disintegration
of some
of the ice
sheets?
This
feedback could potentially result in the rapid loss
of parts
of the ice
sheet, as grounding lines retreat along troughs and basins that deepen towards the ice
sheet's interior.
First, most climate simulations, including ours above and those
of IPCC [1], do not include slow
feedbacks such as reduction
of ice
sheet size with global warming or release
of greenhouse gases from thawing tundra.
Model studies for climate change between the Holocene and the Pliocene, when Earth was about 3 °C warmer, find that slow
feedbacks due to changes
of ice
sheets and vegetation cover amplified the fast
feedback climate response by 30 — 50 % [216].
Slow
feedbacks, such as change
of ice
sheet area and climate - driven changes
of greenhouse gases, are not included.
