In this session, Dr. Hazelbaker presents the research on and the theory
of finger feeding.
She includes a sub-lecture on the physiology
of finger feeding and compares finger feeding against bottle and cup from the physiological perspective.
Participants come away with a new understanding
of finger feeding, enabling them to make sound clinical decisions regarding a therapeutic choice when a baby must be fed away from the breast.
The use
of finger feeding with a syringe to push milk into the baby's mouth, is, in my opinion, too difficult for the mother to do alone and definitely not more effective than simply using a bottle with the nipple hole enlarged and the tube coming from it.

of idli dosa batter using ragi flour which can be used to make both idli and dosa.I usually prefer to make a spicy chutney to go along with ragi idli and dosa to balance the distinct flavor

Help baby develop a strong pincher grasp by offering
finger foods and self -
feeding meals that encourage the use
of the grasp.
The regulars on here who complain about the quality
of threads should get their
fingers out and contribute rather than moan and wait to be spoon -
fed.
After getting my doula (also LLL and IBCLC) on the phone with the hospital pediatrician, my husband
finger fed her a small amount
of glucose.
I usually
feed her yogurt or cereal with a spoon in the beginning
of the meal when she is most hungry and willing, and then let her do

A health visitor recently told a friend
of mine that mothers are misunderstanding what baby - led weaning is all about, and that its not just
finger foods, you still have to spoon
feed them as well to make sure they get enough nutrients.

Offer your baby small bits
of cheese that they can pick up with their
fingers and

Although switching to a slower flow bottle teat can help with these problems,

While reading comments they say font give your baby water I just have to say if your baby is constipated they need the extra water to help soften the stool helped my boy took a week BUT when he got constipated again I used probiotics and in 2 HOURS he was pooping again he also started cereal at 2 months he was going through 24oz
of milk at each
feeding and he has a milk protein allergy (gets hives) so having him on special formula cost about 100 $ every 2 days so pablum was best for him now 7 months on
finger foods, solids, cereal, and formula (
of course) 2x a day and doing fine.
I suggest you
feed the baby more often, do lots
of breast compression to help baby swallow more milk while nursing, and if the baby is still does not appear to be eating enough you should
finger -
feed your baby either pumped breast milk or formula.
One important part
of going from baby food purées to table foods is the ability for baby to be able to self -
feed and pick up food with his
fingers.
