first 5 months
of 2017.
Many have complained about the lack
of business
class award seats open on Finnair, so the offerings in J
class may not be as solid as I
first imagined.
Known for its
award - winning customer service, JetBlue offers travelers a premium experience that includes unlimited free snacks and drinks, plus the most legroom in economy

first class from the US to the Middle East on its partners, and Delta will not even allow fliers to cash in miles for international
first class seats), there are still some good deals out there.

class award seats from Hong Kong - Seoul - New York:
They generally only release
first class award seats to partner airlines within two weeks
of travel, so your approach is probably similar to Cathay Pacific in terms
of booking something else and then changing to Lufthansa.
Even then, I'm not seeing much more than seven / eight - ish days out
of the month with a
First Class award seat through January 2018.
High level airline elite status comes with many valuable perks such as free domestic
first class upgrades (when available), elite security lines, waived fees (such as free checked bags, and free changes to
award bookings), improved availability
of award seats, and more.
While they used to also release a lot

of departure they'll make all but one

Considering I bought these miles at 1.1 cents a piece, that was like paying $ 330 extra to fly in
first class on most legs
of what will be a 25,900 - mile
award ticket - a no - brainer since
first class seats are generally much more spacious and every inch
of pitch counts when you're 6» 7 ″!
When January rolled around, I saw on united.com that United had released a good amount
of non-stop LAX and San Francisco to Sydney / Melbourne
award seats, so I decided to rebook in
first class, even though it required 30,000 additional miles.
Qantas has certainly made the decision to protect its
first class and fly it empty instead
of releasing
seats right before departure for
awards.
There's still a number
of days with 2, 4 or more
first class award seats available, so book them while you can!
