Truth be told, I have a whole shelf full
of food styling props but I tend to use the same pieces over and over again.
No amount
of food styling is going to help some of those items and I believe that my own cell phone photos accurately represent exactly what I saw or I wouldn't post them here (as I sometimes do.)
I did the photography for these photos, but Amber did
all of the food styling on her own.

I've been a long time reader and I don't think I've ever commented before, but I'd just like to say that I've always enjoyed reading your blog and your writing
style and approach to
food has being one
of the many influences to me becoming more serious about
food, photography, and
food writing.
Most
of my cooking in this
style is kind
of thrown together, which is why I don't often post it, but I will make an effort to really document what works, why I did this, that, and that other thing, and will keep on making
food that tastes great and makes you feel great!
Like me, Anna favours a natural approach to
food styling and she wondered whether creating a heavily stylised version
of a dish for photography was somehow dishonest.
