I especially loved the idea
of wrapping a pinecone under the twine when
giftwrapping — I'm a bit obssessed with pinecones, they are all over my house!
And
of course I had to check out the
giftwrap.
Step 9) Cover the front
of the paper card star with glue and carefully position the
giftwrap star on top, matching edges all round and smoothing out the
giftwrap from the centre out to the points to avoid wrinkles or air bubbles.
You will need • Selection
of decorative papers or patterned
giftwrap (we used Brown Banna paper; gold / terracotta Japanese Grass on Natural paper, both from Paperchase, and Yellow Cross Hatch Stem paper from Orla Kiely at John Lewis)
To attach the
giftwrap to the walls, I simply cut each piece to the size
of the back
of each shelf.
Here the beautiful ice - blue shade
of the walls, cushions and glassware is picked up by the baubles and
giftwrap.
