One side of the duvet is the red and blue pattern and the other side is neutral with the look
of grain sack stripes.
This way, you'll be able to stop and double check that you haven't pulled too hard one direction on the fabric, thus causing the straight line
of the grain sack stripe to suddenly look crooked.
I also thought about using one of my many European stencils instead
of the grain sack stripe.
Not exact matches
I stenciled three
of them, and then did green
grain sack like
stripes with blue painters tape on one pillow as shown above.
My favorite thing for this is the flat end
of wooden skewers (I also used the skewers to create my
grain sack stripes that i'll show you a later in the post!)
I have some chairs that are road side saves... and I bought some drop cloth for these... I have found one thing that is fun about drop cloths... you can paint on them... I have painted
stripes for a
grain sack look, I have also used tea to stain them for more
of a vinatage look... I love the pics with yur boys so very cute... they grow up so fast... Mine were less then 2 years apart....
While the first coat
of milk paint was drying, I painted
grain sack stripes on a piece
of drop cloth left over from other projects.
We will find lots
of uses for this wood and white pair
of barstools with
grain sack inspired
stripes.
