The steering is quick to react and responsive on the move, there's
plenty of grip on offer, while the chassis provides a good blend of control and comfort.
There's
bags of grip on offer but there's more connection through the steering than the Veyron could muster and, fortunately, the 420 mm carbon front discs with their eight - pot calipers (along with the Chiron's airbrake) ensure it stops as well as it goes.
A shame then that wheel feedback is unforthcoming, masking any real
sense of the grip on offer, and leading us to quite a few mid-corner adjustments.
It manages to disguise the extra ride height, too, feeling flat and agile in the bends, while the four - wheel drive system and a new locking front differential means the
amount of grip on offer is staggering.
Four - wheel drive means there's
lots of grip on offer, so it's a strong performer no matter what the conditions, while the standard - fit seven - speed PDK dual - clutch automatic gearbox means it's a beautifully relaxed car to drive.
When you do want to pick up the pace the Kodiaq remains composed, and while the steering doesn't have a lot of feel, it is precise because there's a good
level of grip on offer.
The steering is relatively fast and quite light, too, which means with a decent level
of grip on offer the Clio turns in quickly.
