Nova Launcher lets you do things like change the size
of your home screen icons manually, as well as installing custom icon packs so you can change the way they look too.
One of the best parts about this is that it ensures consistent size and padding with
all of your home screen icons.
From a user standpoint, this means that once apps get updated with Adaptive Icons,
all of your home screen icons will be of matching shapes.
Since RIM first showed off BlackBerry 10 I was wondering what design aesthetic they were going with by making

home screen can be boiled down to a main menu across the top (with links to, naturally, Shop, Games, Apps, Books, Music, Videos, News Stand, Audiobooks, Web, Photos, Docs and Offers), and the large carousel
of icons below that text - only row.
