When I'm flying with my kid I usually pack: a baggy
of Canaan's current favorite cereal (either Rice Chex or now it's pumpkin Joe's O's), LaraBars, Rx Bars, or Perfect Bars, dried coconut strips, apple slices, celery or carrots,
homemade Easy Protein Energy Bites, a banana and Justin's vanilla
almond butter packets and sometimes a small container
of rinsed chickpeas.
Just to be on the safe side, though, I packed two loaves
of homemade banana bread, one zucchini bread, enough power bars for my son and me to completely live on, trail mix, and peanut
butter and
almond butter... just as a safety backup.
Forgo the maple syrup and top with

of!).
Just think: a glass
of homemade almond - coconut milk and a slice
of fresh baked bread slathered in this salted dark chocolate sunflower seed
butter.
Served with
homemade almond butter, coconut yogurt and a sprinkle
of crumble — it's autumn on a plate.

of dry roasted raw

It's easy to make

almond flour, a couple scoops
of nutritious coconut oil, a food processor.
So for this recipe I had no choice but to use my own
homemade almond butter, which I calculated out to be $ 2.09 for the half cup I used in the recipe, although you may be able to get a better price than me if you buy a jar

of macadamia nuts Dinner: A large salad with all kinds
of raw veggies (cucumber, celery, carrots, cauliflower), avocado or olives, usually a lighter protein like grilled chicken breast, salmon or shrimp This would represent a full menu... I would say I hit this about 4 - 5 days a week, other days I may omit the snack or keep the snack and omit a meal, if i do that though I would add a bit
of protein with it.

Homemade blackberry chia jam - literally just heated about a cup
of blackberries, a big squeeze
of lemon and 2 TBS chia seeds on the stove, mashed it and let it cool before transferring into a jar for toast, yogurt, smoothies, etc..
I was also a little shy
of a half cup
of almond butter so I ground some roasted
almonds in food processor then dumped into that the eggs, the rest
of the
almond butter and used my
homemade pumpkin pie spices (1 tsp) and about a half teaspoon
of ginger.
