For this investigation we are changing the temperature of the hot chocolate so the amount of milk, type of cup, amount
of hot chocolate powder and marshmallows should stay the same for each test condition.
Icecream, milk, and sometimes a little bit

But if you want to make
hot chocolate more often and not spend a fortune, I would recommend adding some cocoa
powder and a sweetener in place
of some
of the
chocolate.
I added cocoa
powder and
chocolate chips (plus dried cherries and apricots) to my existing
hot cross bun recipe, along with a healthy dose
of cinnamon and cardamom, with which I have recently become enamoured and which happens to go very well with
chocolate.
This reminds me
of when I was a little girl in Texas, I used to do a scoop
of vanilla ice cream (Blue Bell,
of course) and top it with Planters dry roasted peanuts and a sprinkle
of Qwik (
hot chocolate powder).
Quantities will depend on how much
hot chocolate you would like to make, whether it's simply a cup
of hot mulled
chocolate or a big pot full, the quantities are essentially 1tbsp raw cacao
powder and 1 - 2tsp Sweet Freedom per cup
of hot milk.
If you'd rather have
hot chocolate instead
of cocoa, substitute melted semi-sweet or bittersweet
chocolate instead
of the cacao
powder.

The cake itself is a perfectly soft, moist
chocolate cake which also happens to be ridiculously easy to make, you just mix some cocoa
powder with
hot water then chuck all
of the other ingredients into the same bowl at once and whisk until smooth.

HOT CHOCOLATE: Stir in 1 heaping tablespoon
of raw cacao
powder, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and 1 tablespoon
of maple syrup.

In France there is the famous cracotte which is a type
of very light granola bar which you eat while drinking
