I think I am liking the idea
of a hot Italian sugar daddy who wisks me off for wine pleasure and romance.
Take 1 - 1.5 lbs
of hot Italian turkey sausage and grill it until it's just about cooked through.
I used a mixture
of hot italian sausage and chorizo in my most recent iteration, and it was awesome.
Any jar
of hot Italian peppers sold in Europe just says «Peperoncini» on the label, but out here it becomes evident that this is a generic name, just like «chiles» in the Americas, or «chilis» in Europe (sometimes spelled «chillies»).

Pasta Carbonara is an old
Italian dish that tosses a
hot pasta (typically spaghetti) with a sauce made
of bacon, beaten eggs, cheese and herbs.
While you are probably already aware
of Italian giardiniera, the tangy assortment
of pickled veggies that often accompanies salads or antipasto platters, it is totally different from Chicago - Style
Hot Giardiniera.
Biscotti or twice baked
Italian cookies are surprisingly easy to make and a real treat along with a cup
of hot coffee or tea.
Also, I am using mild
Italian sausage instead
of hot.
Probably one
of the most widely known uses for Chicago - Style
Hot Giardiniera is on an
Italian Beef Sandwich — a hoagie roll piled high with thin slices
of roast beef that have been simmering in its own cooking juices, topped with
Hot Giardiniera, then dunked into said juices before being served.
I made mine using a cup
of dates presoaked in some
hot water instead
of the sweetners in it some
of the soaking water instead
of the almond milk and used homemade coconut butter instead
of the jared one and canellini beans (which I have now learned is the
italian for white kidney beans which I had never heard
of!).
What's in it: 1 lb
hot turkey (or chicken)
italian sausage 1 small sweet onion (or 1/2 large), finely chopped 1 cup carrots, chopped 1 tablespoon
italian herbs 2 cloves
of garlic, finely minced 2 14.5 oz cans white beans (cannellini), rinsed and drained 2 14.5 - oz cans diced tomatoes (I used fire roasted) 3 cups low sodium chicken broth (more or less according to desired thickness) 6 cups roughly chopped kale optional (but encouraged): 1 parmesan rind (I always save the ends
of my parmesan to use in soups.

Italian Market resulted in Larry and me driving an hour to Arcadia just for the experience (not immediately, but we keep notes
of stuff like this and Larry finally said, «can we pleeeeeze go to Claro's???») After consuming awesome subs and ogling at cheeses, meats, dry goods and

hot Italian turkey sausage and took off the casings and then just over a cup
of reduced fat mozzarella..

For the first time in my life, I decided that I would bake something for Christmas, something
Italian and crunchy and oh - so - addictive, whether eaten alone, with warm milk, or a

hot Italian sausage (it's what I had on hand) and used home - made chicken stock instead
of water, and home grown Swiss chard.
I used
