of himself — shattered and reinforced redneck stereotypes and a delightful take on Dubya [here, he may not speak real good English, but he's slyer, smarter and mellower than we are expecting] and the result is a solidly funny movie that Says Something more by highlighting the
characters of Harold and Kumar than by the political
jokes.
This show has turned into utter bollocks, the first two seasons were very good and paced really well, but this missing baby storyline is a
joke, the
characters have become overly sentimental and schmaltzy which is difficult to reconcile with the uncompromising action a show
of this nature needs.
All in all, though, we don't fall in love with any
of these
characters, we don't root for the film's one «couple» (who we think all along will unrealistically be granted a predictable Hollywood ending), we can't remember the
jokes after the fact and, most important, we aren't consistently entertained.
For children it provides goofy, lovable
characters and childish potty humor, while for adults it also offers meta
jokes about modern society or
of the film itself.
This is a lame
joke by anyone's standards, but coming from one
of the greatest silent comedians (still recognisable as the little tramp, even though he is playing a different
character) makes it sound even worse than it really is.
I didn't care about any
of the
characters and to compare this to Tarantino like dialogue maybe the biggest
joke in this movie.
I will say that the main villain is kind
of stupid and his
jokes wear out fast, and some
of the side
characters are a bit boring though.
Despite the lessening
of madcap energy, Shrek the Third is still quite funny in parts, with some fresh throwaway gags to produce chuckles now and then from
characters you'd think they probably should have jettisoned long ago, but are secretly glad they've kept around (the Gingerbread Man, Pinocchio, etc.) The fact that they are keeping in nearly all
of the
characters introduced in the series thus far is a bit
of a double - edged sword, as they do provide a certain respite from the main
characters that are already cycling through the same
jokes all over again, but on the other hand, it's getting to the point that the high overhead
of injecting scenes for all
of these
characters takes away from the focus
of the story at large.
Great story,
characters, graphics, music, atmosphere, creative puzzles, tons
of dark
jokes, everything is perfect in this little adventure.
Once again Dean Norris is wasted in his role, he looks lost among the incessant pandemonium and it doesn't surprise me his
character was ready to call it quits and leave this
joke of an «epic» TV drama.
Characters and their arcs are good, but it's the construction and execution
of the
jokes that are particularly noteworthy.
If irresponsibility and a lack
of trust or deep caring between anyone is the grounds for good humor, then Bojack Horseman does it infinitely better (The difference is that in a cartoon show about vacuous Hollywood types there are
characters who feel like subjects who can care rather than just targets for cynical

Full
of ideas that are usually more clever than funny — e.g., the running
joke satirizing lack
of communication between men and women by having the
characters speak jibberish, generic phrases, or different languages — but it should prove interesting and inventive enough to keep smart people watching to the end.
Game Night's
characters aren't exactly complex, and some
of them — such as the husband - and - wife duo played by Lamorne Morris and Kylie Bunbury — are wasted in one -
joke subplots.
Although Deadpool 2 repeats the first movie's

joke, as if knowingly acknowledging this aspect forgives Free Fire for its plotting misfires.
More important — at all times — is having
jokes thrown at the audience, many
of which have nothing to do with the
characters themselves or their journey.
Finding a curse closer to home would have also saved the
characters an absurd six - hour round trip whenever they decide to go back to the site and gather more clues: as it is, the repeated shots
of their car approaching the Mexican border soon start to feel like a running
joke.

joke about the young McGregor's feeble attempts at birdwatching — that other films might have cut to make way for various subplots or emotional

of warmth for a

jokes, car chase and tween pop songs, the film does keep both the physical and the verbal comedy coming at a steady pace.

They're competitive to a degree that almost annoys their friends (One
of the film's unspoken
jokes is that a
character who's prevalent in the prologue isn't in the rest
of the film, since, apparently, the couple's competitive streak finally got to him).
There is no development
of characters or plots in this season, leaving it with just a boring scenario
of jokes and situations.
In both
of those cases, the reactions on other
characters» faces make the
jokes even funnier.
