This is all too familiar in the industry — much like the
junior resource sector,
companies have to constantly scramble to sell & farm - out promising projects to raise much needed cash for their next set
of projects.
And so, accordingly, it tends to attract pretty dissimilar investor constituencies, who may only focus on: i) a handful
of the largest caps, regardless
of valuation & exposure, ii) stocks which (may) offer cheap / alternative access to overseas growth (a surprisingly large number
of Irish
companies are UK / Europe / globally focused), iii) stocks offering domestic exposure (notably, economic pure - plays are actually pretty rare), iv) a listed commercial & residential property sector that's only emerged in the past couple
of years, and finally (& perhaps most notoriously) v) a (
junior)
resource stock sector that's been decimated in the last few years.
When I look at the
company, it gives me hope... Hope that muppets everywhere will take a closer look & see the embodiment
of junior resource stock hell!
Like most
junior resource companies, I suppose — they always have millions & billions
of contingent & prospective boe up their sleeves, and yet 90 %
of the time nothing ever comes
of it.
It's kind
of a closed - end fund with investments in small cap and microcap
resource companies (at the moment primarily
junior gold mining cos) and mineral royalties.
Yeah, some
of the usual rubbish — here we have eight
