A simple soup recipe gets kicked up several notches with the addition
of kale pesto!
The bright, fresh green color
of the kale pesto is what's doing it for me here!
Spread each buttered side of toast with
some of the kale pesto and serve immediately.
Add 1/2 cup
of the kale pesto and gently stir to completely coat the shells.

of the spinach and sunflower seeds makes this a lighter dish than your typical
pesto (the
kale is a bit denser in flavor).
I make tons
of homemade
pesto and freeze it every summer with a basil / arugula / spinach /
kale blend
of greens from my garden and now I have yet one more use for my stash
of frozen
pesto.
There is a choice

pesto, sweet potato and sticky rice, both items are gluten free.

Beans and shells 1 1/4 cups dried white beans (or two 15 - ounce cans
of beans) 2 cloves garlic, peeled and left whole 3 teaspoons salt, plus more to taste One 12 - ounce box jumbo pasta shells 3/4 -1 cup

Serve the
kale pesto risotto with the slices
of pumpkin on top, a drizzle
of olive oil and mixed seeds to decorate.
Next time I make this I would keep the
kale raw, I added a bunch
of pesto too.
I think a soup pistou with your
kale pesto instead
of basil would be good.
Add parsley, chives, half
of kale, remaining 2 tablespoons oil, and 1/4 cup cold water; process until smooth; season
pesto with salt and pepper.
Serve the burgers on a bed
of massaged
kale with the fries, roasted cherry tomatoes and avocado
pesto.
Broccoli rabe grows like wild fire down here and is so flavourful; I recommend you try it in
pesto sauce instead
of spinach or
kale.
