So far, credit card frauds used the biggest
reselling platform to quickly dispose
of stolen product
keys.
He accused G2A users
of using a database
of stolen credit cards to buy game
keys in bulk from a bundle or third - party
key reseller, then putting them up on G2A to sell them at half the retail price.
One indie developer claims a popular PC

While stolen credit cards are a large part
of the problem, there are other places that these
key reselling merchants are finding
keys: bots and scammers.
And while it's easy to cast a baleful glare at Ubisoft for its clunky customer service, it's not the only publisher with a policy
of shooting down unauthorized
keys: The famously gamer - friendly Devolver Digital said in April 2014 that
keys for its games purchased through popular
reseller G2A «are not legitimate, not guaranteed, and not supported.
But people paid attention when Gearbox Software announced it would distribute the collector's edition
of Bulletstorm: Full Clip through G2A, the controversial
key reseller often accused
of ignoring fraud.
It's not against
resellers, it's against the one who generated the massive amount
of keys and how they're distributing it.
There were developers who would sell a «bulk» amount
of keys at a set price (lower than steam) to one person and then that one person would
resell them privately via paypal - so the developer gets a sale they wouldn't have got, the middle man gets a small profit, and the user gets the game for a cheaper price
If you have not used the
key then you may be able to
resell it to recover some
of the cost, in which case you could claim the difference between the resale value and the purchase price, plus court fees.
Everyone pretty much agrees that one
of the
keys to profitably using alternative billing is being able to
resell existing knowledge.
As you may know, Humble is a
