When doing
keyword research, one really great way
of finding
keywords that will work for you and your business is by setting up and running a ppc campaign and collecting
data solely for the purpose
of selecting your
keywords.
A combination
of your rankings, Google Analytics
data (you can connect GA to your Linkdex account), search volume and
keyword value can highlight what you're missing out on.
It can be hard to spot consistencies when you have thousands
of keywords to rank for and are unlikely to have a high volume
of any one term, but when you synchronize the
data through term analysis, you can uncover what can be deemed as «aggressive link building» for those larger, more
keyword - diverse domains.

Google Analytics provides a wealth
of information about a website including top performing pages, entrance
keywords, conversion
data, and more.
Without massive stores
of data and detailed insights into the competitive landscape it is easy to throw a lot
of time and money at targeting
keywords that will never deliver a stable return.
This gives you just enough
data to get started building your
keyword prospect list, but to really make this comprehensive (and I recommend the shotgun approach when doing
keyword research — starting with a large population
of targets and narrowing it down based on specifics) you need to leverage a few other tools.
But it really does drive you focus on AdWords specific
data, so be aware that you will need to stay conscious
of the toggles between Ad Groups and
