7 Cover the filling with a second layer
of ladyfingers and drizzle with the remaining liqueur and espresso.

Instead
of ladyfingers, a coconut flour cake batter forms the first layer.
Add another layer
of ladyfingers, sprinkle with coffee, add mascarpone and strawberries.
Wondering does the top layer
of ladyfingers that you dipped in the coffee mix get soft?
Top with a layer of overlapping banana slices and then a layer
of ladyfingers.

If you are using
Ladyfingers, instead
of vanilla wafers, I like to use a commercial brand because they are thicker and their texture is crisp and very absorbent.
We debated a bit about the method and the kind
of cookie to be used (
ladyfingers versus galletas María), but ultimately we decided the best version would include cream cheese.
Ladyfingers are a classic cookie / biscuit that is shaped like a finger (sort
of, haha).
When people hear
Ladyfingers they usually think
of Tiramisù or Trifles... it's not often that people will snack on
Ladyfingers alone.
The
Ladyfingers are softer with a more noticeable coffee and rum flavor, and the pastry cream filling is creamier, silky smooth, and full
of vanilla flavor.
Not too sweet, a perfect balance between the sweet
ladyfingers, semisweet chocolate flavor and tartness
of the berry mousse.
If you want to make a kid friendly Tiramisu cake you can consider dipping the
ladyfingers in some cocoa milk syrup instead
of espresso and use no liqueur.
Line the
ladyfingers in a single layer, in the bottom
of the 8» x 8» baking dish.
If you use moscato instead
of simple syrup do you do anything different with it to the
ladyfingers or still just pour the moscato in a dish and dip the lady fingers in?
Top
ladyfingers with half
of the mascarpone mixture and smooth the surface with an offset spatula or with the back
of a spoon.
Pour honey simple syrup into a shallow dish and dip
ladyfingers, turning once to coat for a few seconds so that they can absorb some
of the liquid.

Where the glaze soaked in, the top
of the cupcakes became almost like the liqueur - soaked
ladyfingers of tiramisu.
