Ok, so I removed the brake light fuse, disconnected the brake light switch connector and took a length
of lamp cord to test continuity with my multimeter.
Not exact matches
I chose to be homeless at 17 instead
of continuing to be beaten with
lamp cords.
Although the baby gate is in place it's always ideal to add multiple layers
of protection so, for example, secure the furniture with quality straps, pad sharp corners, install blind cleats so
cords are out
of reach and remove or block off tall floor
lamps that could be pulled over.
Also keep out
of reach (and kicking distance) anything electrical, including
lamps and baby monitors — electricity is a danger, and the
cords can strangle.
This simple
cord lamp, strung with colorful wooden beads and capped with an elegant globe bulb, has a sweet, playful look reminiscent
of a vintage toy.
I also added a copper T at the bottom
of the
lamp and threaded the
lamp switch and all
of my nightstand charging
cords (iPhone, Kindle) through it to kind
of create a little charging station.
But right now I'm planning on making my own
lamp and for that the Black Cotton Rope would be perfect to wind around the
cord of the
lamp.

Things like cabinets without safety latches (if you have small children) and frayed
lamp cords are examples
of things to look for.
If you have one, you're asked to cut the
cord (when the
lamp is unplugged), and check the recall announcement for details about where to mail it to get a full refund — including the cost
of mailing the plug.
Remove clutter, beware
of mini-blinds and their
cords, lightweight breakables (vases,
lamps, etc.), curtains (great for climbing!)
Dominated by large painted areas
of bright color on the wall and ceiling (arranged so that the work could incorporate a section
of a previous mural by Judy Ledgerwood, leaving it untouched to accentuate its ornamental attraction) and vivid carpet on the floor, it also includes an eclectic selection
of household and street
lamps, tree branches, yarn, and power
cords, along with the furniture provided for the lobby's small café.
What about a thin tall old table or floor
lamp made
of metal??? Just take out the
cord and unscrew from the base to inset into the pots and reattach base for stability?
You can have an outlet put into the floor near the perimeter
of a conversation area for a
lamp cord if it isn't convenient to plug it in the wall.
I notice that I can not see the
cords on any
of these
lamps.
I have an outlet on the wall for a picture light and want to put
lamps on each end
of the mantel and run the
cords behind to piece to plug them it.
For the
lamps on the counter, I always plug
lamps in near the outlets so they are not draped all over the counter, and I try to set footed bowls or trays or plate stands over the
cords or objects in front
of them to minimize their effect.
If the
lamp cord bothers you, you can use painters tape to it to the back or underside
of the table.
So armed with my vast un-tested knowledge
of lamp making, I headed off to find a socket and a
cord that would work for this jug!
I have one question (as I often do when looking at photos
of beautiful living rooms)- where are the
cords for the
lamps... where are they being plugged in?!
