If you don't have a blender that can handle no - bowl batter jobs like this, my best advice is to blend just the dates and water in whatever you've got and then do the rest
of the mixing by hand.
Instead
of mixing by hand I put ingredients in my food processor.
But if you blend the date paste first on it's own and then do the rest
of the mixing by hand, ultra thick and rich but still low fat frosting is a very real possibility.
The food processor simply takes out the labor
of mixing it by hand.

As I got going, my oven gobbled up the fruits
of many deflated attempts - a little yeast here, a lot
of yeast there, this flour, that flour, knead
by hand, knead
by mixer, high baking temps, lower baking temps, and on and on.
Cream room temperature butter and brown sugar together for 5 — 8 minutes / Add egg & milk mixture (w / extracts) a little at a time until fully incorporated /

mixer on lowest speed, alternately add flour and buttermilk until just incorporated — don't overmix at this point for the tenderest cake /

Mixing flour, water, salt and yeast is the first pleasure
of making bread — I like my
hands in the dough and always finish the kneading
by hand (I'm not a fan
of the no - knead bread — it diminishes both fun and flavor; but then again, I have a
mixer to do most
of the labor).

mixer -LCB- or a large bowl if making the dough
by hand -RCB-.
I made them in different combinations
of all - butter crusts, with some
mixed in the food processor, some
by hand and another in the stand
mixer.
Blending may be done
by hand or with a spoon, or low speeds
of a blender or electric
mixer.
By hand,
mix in most
of the cherries and almonds.
Start
by dusting your
hands with flour and scooping about 1 1/2 tablespoons worth
of base
mix with a large soup spoon.
Beat in flour (with a wooden spoon or paddle
of an electric
mixer) half at a time to make a smooth batter — beat for 3 to 4 minutes with a machine or 5 minutes
by hand.
You can
mix them
by hand and get in a decent arm workout, or do what I do and let your stand
mixer (with the paddle attachment) do all
of the heavy - lifting.
Turn the dough into the bowl
of a
mixer fitted with the paddle attachment or, if you've still got some elbow grease left, you can continue
by hand.
To make the dough: Combine all
of the dough ingredients and
mix and knead —
by hand,
mixer, or bread machine — to make a soft, smooth dough.
Add water
by the tablespoon,
mixing with your
hands until you are able to form a stiff ball
of dough.
Remove the bowl from the stand
mixer and dump in the M&M s. It's a good idea to
mix these in
by hand with a rubber spatula or a wooden spoon... I have ruined a few batches
of these
by letting the stand
mixer crunch up all those delicate M&M s.
Just a few ingredients get
mixed by hand and pressed into a pan to bake.Then the filling: a sweet mixture
of coconut oil, coconut sugar, molasses and salt that's
mixed on the stove.
Add one tablespoon
of the milk and whisk together (you can also do this in an electric
mixer, but I did it all
by hand and it was easy enough).
That can be a problem sometimes for those
of us who
mix by hand.

Whisk milk and yeast in the bowl
of a stand
mixer (or large bowl if kneading
by hand).
I usually
mix by hand, but used a Kenwood with a dough hook, but even without adding the other 70 or so mL
of water, it was too wet and not coming together nicely, after more than an hour
of mixing.
Scatter the salt and yeast over the top
of the dough and
mix with your wet
hands by alternatively stretching it and pinching it to fully incorporate the yeast and salt.
Most
of my recipes call for a standing
mixer, but can be adapted to be made with a
hand held
mixer or even
by hand and some elbow grease.
In the first step, when you're whipping the cream with sugar and vanilla, it should take a few minutes (with a stand

by hand with a whisk it'll take upwards
of 15 min or so!)
The almond milk curds are

of herbs, and then shaped and pressed immediately before packaging to ensure ultimate freshness.
As easy as
mixing in one go — I used an electric stand
mixer but you could just as well do it
by hand — and tipping onto a sheet
of greaseproof parchment paper to bake.

by hand or with an electric beater / Gradually pour in the sugar and beat until thick and pale yellow / Stir in the liqueur and set the bowl in a pan
of almost - simmering water / Beat
by hand or with an electric whisk or beater for several minutes until foamy and mixture is warm to the touch / Remove from heat and beat again until cool (place in a large bowl
of ice water to speed the process) / It should have the consistency
of a thick, creamy mayonnaise / When cooled, thoroughly
mix egg yolks & sugar with chocolate & butter mixture.
I remember a few things: she
mixed the dough
by hand in a big bowl and minimally — as soon as it came together she stopped fiddling with it and proceeded to forming biscuits; her dough was very soft; she had melted butter in her biscuit baking pan and doused each side
of each biscuit as she laid them on the pan; and when the biscuits were done they were served piping hot out
of the oven.
