While the company amassed an army
of fanboy followers over
much of its history as the underdog in the epic struggle against the «
evil empire» (Microsoft), it's perhaps understandable that haters are now popping out
of the woodwork.
Throughout
much of its first decade
of existence, the search engine company presented itself as a different kind
of company, one that cared about changing the world for the better first and making money second, an ethos exemplified through its famous «don't be
evil» motto.
Although they are
much less powerful than the industrial models from Universal Robots, IOActive released a video
of a test in which an otherwise cute NAO robot suddenly begins laughing in an
evil and maniacal way and uses a screwdriver to repeatedly stab a tomato.
And it's
much easier to do that than to say, «Well listen, we have free markets and we have democracy and both those things are incredibly messy and no one is really controlling it,» but if I give you a few symbols and attach a name to it, all
of a sudden you have an
evil villain that you can pin the blame on.
Presumably,
much of the criticism
of tar - sand oil isn't that it's so environmentally
evil that it's ethically worse than, say, Saudi oil.
Despite all their boasting about being good fiscal managers and the
evils of accumulating debt, the Conservative government doesn't seem to really care that

It is to be regretted, therefore, not only that

of hope in the crusade's demonstration that moral appeal and censure can affect a behavior so widespread, although goodness knows there are
evils much more in need
of our moral attention.
The celebration
of Satan is
much worse than abortion, as it is the greater

Because we have shared so

of apes and might actually find it more beautiful than some disgusting ones that are around now.

And cometh that match, Jesus shall laugh in glee as the faithful, filled with His love, gouge the eyes from the atheists and kicketh them where men should not be kicked, and smash them over the head with conveniently available folding chairs, just like in Professional Wrestling, and others
of the saved shall hoot and holler and watch NASCAR on giant Jesus flatscreens and the atheists do
much wailing and gnashing
of teeth and stubbing
of toes and get nasty hangnails for their
evil sins.
Eventually, the Satanic powers brought so
much evil into the world, that they were once again able to lead the world to the brink
of complete destruction.
But over the last 25 years we have gotten
much more clarity about the role
of evil in the context
of abuse.
I consider that men DID create and write the bible, but both Christ and satan are metaphors... christ is the metaphor for the potential good in a person, satan the metaphor for the potential
of bad or
evil... given that this is MY definition, and makes
much more sense that most other beleifs, then the bible WAS written by satan, or rather it was inspired by the bad /
evil side
of the minds
of the writers.

much more to say on this matter, believes that «the Christian idea
of a suffering deity» «symbolized by the Cross, together with the doctrine
of the Incarnation» (C. Hartshorne: Philosophers Speak
of God, p. 15 [University
of Chicago Press, 1953]-RRB- may legitimately be taken as a symbolic indication
of the «saving» quality in the process
of things which despite the
evil that appears yet makes genuine advance a possibility.
It gets
much worse when you consider the problem
of evil: If God really exists, and he is really all powerful, and really morally perfect, then why do so many horrible, senseless things happen?
The sin confessed was not so
much personal unworthiness as national misdeeds, and the misdeeds were not alone the
evil work
of the living but
of the ancestral generations whose iniquities were still involving their offspring in penalty.
It seems to have been proved within out time that the problem
of human
evil is not

In fairness, however, there have been some characters posting here who attack Christians in very
much the same way, labeling all
of them
evil.

of prayer, Jesus concludes his general advice to persevere in prayer with this promise (cited above in part): «If you then, who are
evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how
much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!»
