muck dive, this is our house reef and was the recent location
of a Bio Rock project.
Leave at 7 am and return at 5 pm after 2
dives at the key Bali locations: the manta rays and mola - mola's
of Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan; the
muck diving and big fish
of Padang Bay & Candidasa; the Liberty wreck & drop offs at Tulamben; and the
muck, reefs and wrecks in the Amed area.
You are a stones throw away from the USAT Liberty Shipwreck, one
of Bali's most famous
dive sites, as well as fantastic
muck & macro and some challenging current
dives.
The stand out shot
of the week was right off the house reef on a
muck dive at dusk to catch the elusive Dragonets Mandarin fish.
Other
dive sites off Padang Bai offer some lovely
muck dives along with a couple
of reef
dives as well.

of Cuttlefish right by the
Dive center, in Melasti, a

The Wreck lies in a calm bay and it sits in just 5m
of water, It along with its surroundings make for an excellent
muck dive with Pigmy Seahorses, Leaf Fish, Scorpion Fish and a handful
of other critters.

dive is often the highlight

Muck diving» is mainly over sand or silt but with hundreds
of little species to find in the sandy areas — good for anyone who has done a few
dives and wants to try something a bit different.
This trip started with the famous
muck diving
of Ambon to finish in Raja Ampat 12 days later.We encountered a lot
of Sharks, starting already at the check
dive with a couple
of Cat Sharks.
But there are other attractive
dive sites such as pinnacles with enormous groups
of schooling pyramid butterflyfish, triggerfish and pelagic fishes such as tunas passing through, spectacular hard coral reefs next to the volcano, and great
muck dives with lots
of mandarinfish in the local jetty.
For those who don't wish to
dive everyday at Sipadan, staying on nearby Pulau Mabul island in one
of the beautiful resorts provides the opportunity to explore Mabul's Bajau Laut and you're sure to develop a sincere appreciation for the local culture and
of course easy access to it's magical
