I wanted hamburger buns out
of this recipe so I used greased
muffins rings, a bake sheet and parchment paper.
Press the
rings into the cups
of the
muffin tins so that the dough goes up about half way.
The other change I made, was once the
muffin rings were filled, I then turned my 200 degree oven off, and immediately put in the tray
of buns to raise for 30 minutes.
I rolled each half portion
of dough and used an English
muffin ring to mark rounds on the surface, then used scissors to cut them out.
My dough was so wet that the
muffins didn't keep their integrity when rising and flopped over the edge
of the
rings.
My gluten - free english
muffin recipe is one
of the more popular recipes on the site, and they just wouldn't be the same without these english
muffin rings.
I've found if any water
rings or «stains» remain after wiping with a wet washcloth, then I take a non-scratch scrub pad with a drop
of Mrs Meyers dish soap and scrub the area slightly and it comes right out:)-RRB- found this trick when I accidentally used waxed paper for some
muffins I took out
of the oven... they left 12 waxy shiny stains.
