In fact, I'm not really into the idea
of randomly - generated
multiplayer maps as a whole: I find that the best
multiplayer maps in shooter history have always been finely - crafted
levels that developers agonize over carefully to create the best possible experience.
On top
of these, you can play a selection
of user - created
levels, challenge the Super Gravitron and browse achievements in the Secret Lab, and play
multiplayer with a friend.
Some
of the friends that I played with in the
multiplayer mode skipped the tutorial
levels, and struggled to enjoy their first session as a result.
Level design on all four Halo games is probably one
of the best ever in a first person shooter and thankfully the developers have still allowed players to duel - wield their weapons in this game that is even more awesome in the
multiplayer mode.
If you want to take the game to a whole new
level, the online
multiplayer offers a wealth
of fun and some
of the players we encountered were quite decent.
All three
of these feature campaigns
of levels that can optionally be played with a friend and Whacky Bat and Gobble Golf even implement a colour mechanic during
multiplayer to help mix things up a bit.
While it would certainly have been nice to see more
multiplayer maps — right off the bat — the five
levels and different modes included provide hours
of excitement.
There are a total
of 8
levels in the game and while this number might seem short at first, keep in mind that these
levels are all open with an expansive
level design that provides the player
multiplayer ways
of approaching their objectives.
The map pack, which features four new
multiplayer levels, also comes with the next chapter
of the ongoing co-op Exo Zombies mode, this time guest - starring horror icon Bruce Campbell.
After far too long, Star Wars Battlefront 2 has updated its much - vilified
Multiplayer Progression System to create a fairer and more skill and play - focused
