of the Google I / O Conference may not have been about fancy
hardware launches or even a
new iteration
of Android (both
of which were hotly anticipated), but that does not mean there weren't any important or interesting
announcements made.

The company is apparently still looking to get back into the
hardware game after a hiatus spanning a couple
of years, however, with a
new tablet featuring an NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor, which ReadWrite pegs for an imminent
announcement, and is also considering Android - based smartphone for future development.
The
announcement of the device wasn't just significant for its
hardware and price point — in some ways, the
newest version
of the Android OS is really the main attraction.
This
announcement comes just one week before the company is set to host an event in which they'll more than likely release a
new bit
of hardware — at least one tablet with the ability to work with Android media
