Another trick I did was put the apple grates in my
nut milk bag and squeezed the liquid out from there and it gave me 8 oz
of fresh apple juice!!

I made my most recent batch using a
nut milk bag (a
bag made
of super fine mesh).
To ensure you get the most out
of your

nut milk bag from Amazon.ca (actually they came in a package
of 2) for under $ 10.

Here are the few things I did to make mine work since I didn't have a
nut milk bag to get my first batches
of pulp more dry: First I added some ground chia seed.

i just could never bring myself to buy a
nut milk bag either i guess, felt too messy and extraneous a thing to me and did nt want to feel the weight
of the almond pulp if you know what i mean), but as far as the french press goes — im worried the
milk will taste like... coffee.
I've been meaning to make homemade
nut milk for as along as I can remember but I just couldn't bear the hustle
of straining the
milk through the
nut bag and making a big mess with it all... So I decided to experiment with my Nutribullet instead.
I used my
nut milk bag to remove the pulp and then I blended the
milk with 1 tsp vanilla extract and 1 tbsp
of maple syrup, it tastes fantastic, I've just taken to drinking it straight from the jar - I am the only one who uses it!!
After you make the
milk, you can remove the pulp by straining it in 4 layers
of cheesecloth or a very fine sieve, but straining through a
nut bag is by far the easiest method.
When the syrup is cool enough to handle, strain it through a piece
of muslin,
nut milk bag or fine sieve.
Strain the
milk through a
nut bag, (or 4 layers
of cheesecloth, or very fine sieve, but using a
nut bag is by far the easiest method) to remove all the pulp (cashew
milk does not usually need to be strained).
Pour the contents
of the blender into the
nut milk bag.
Cashews only require 2 - 4 hours
of soaking time and because they absorb the water so well, they blend very easily into a smooth creamy
milk that doesn't require any filtering through a
nut milk bag.
Line a large strainer with a
nut milk bag or several layers
of cheesecloth.
Pour through a
nut milk bag, or other fine straining tool, squeezing to remove every last drop
of liquid from the pistachio pulp.
