You could come close to that rewards levels with many
other cards, but only if you spent on specific categories, or by using the rewards at a particular chain
of airlines or hotels.
Korean Air, the
other major
airline of South Korea, also has its own brand
of credit
cards called SKYPASS; the Korean Air SKYPASS Visa Signature Credit
Card is its flagship product.
While the most you'll get out
of this
card is a 2.5 % rewards rate (compared to the 2.8 % -4.2 % max on the Asiana
card), you have the option to directly transfer your rewards points to
other airline and hotel programs.
However, if you are a frequent customer
of these
other airlines, you should consider their own
airline credit
cards, in order to enjoy speciality perks such as priority boarding and free checked baggage.
While co-branded
airline credit
cards offer special benefits to frequent flyers
of one specific
airline, general travel rewards
cards can offer more flexibility in redeeming award flights and
other travel bookings.

Airline cards provided the best bonuses by far out
of any
other rewards category.
The bank has one
of the greatest number
of affiliations with
airlines, and hotel chains from any
other credit
card issuer we've seen, which drove up its median bonus value.
On the
other hand, Membership Rewards points you earn with the Blue credit
card from Amex can be transferred to a number
of different travel
airlines and hotels, used as statement credit, and exchanged for gift
cards.
Note, that this
card has three APR tiers, and the highest one (25.74 %) is much higher than APR
of most
of other airline credit
cards.
Like many
of the
other top hotel
cards, Hyatt points tend to be a little more valuable per point than
airline or generic awards.
