think of Alvaro Morata (at Juventus) and Gerard Deulofeu (Everton).
I SAY WENGER DOES NO SUCH THING and my above several posts have given ample reasons as to why I AND TENS
OF THOUSANDS
OTHER FANS, (who are not fools, by the way, even though the
club and manager treat us a such)
THINK THE SAME.
If we do lose Sanchez without a replacement lined up and ready to go I
think a few
other members
of the squad will re-evaluate the
club.
i get where you are going at but not a lot
of the top teams were in the need
of a top striker the ones who were already bought a striker at the start i.e. chelsea and man u and man city (nolito) and tottenham,
of course there should have been
other top
clubs in search
of a striker but i
think it shouldn't be a knock - down that we were the only one who triggered the clause but i agree with all the
other things you said the its absurd to compare him with griez and vardy and we have to be patient with him
Do you
think other clubs, their players and agents don't yet know that Arsenal are in need
of bringing in players?
«He will have to be patient because there are a lot
of other players in the team, but I
think he can be very important to the
club in the future.»
Where has all this money gone to, and why are we wasting time arguing over 500k, when yes, we could potentially lose the player over penny pinching, as we have done more times than I care to
think of, losing
club transforming players to
other clubs while Wenger is arguing over tuppence, and we aren't spending the time bringing in players which the
club desperately needs to compete.
Reading the thread on this article and I noticed a lot
of people naming strikers we could have gotten in past transfer windows that have gone to
other club and failed, Balotelli, Falcao, Martinez, Boney etc are recurring names in all the comments, and am sat here
thinking because they failed in thee
clubs does not necessarily mean they would have failed if we had pulled out our fingers and hot them back then, Balotelli aside I strongly believe all
of these players could have made a difference playing infront
of our midfield and given the kind
of attention and care Wenger gives Giroud and Walcott, adapting our play to suit them and giving them chances after chances even when its blatantly obvious they are average players so please lets not keep using that as an excuse for Wenger's ultra careful attitude in the transfer market, they could have failed with us, or they could have been massive for us, all speculations.
This means that the
club will have to prioritize who gets sold and who gets given 12 more months to prove themselves after seeing
other players shipped out,
think of it as breaking the rebuild up into bite size pieces...
do u
think any
of them will be happy seeing another MF come into the team which may make them start looking for playing chances and
other rival
clubs submitting bids and they may end up leaving and you
think I'll be happy to see those two leave?
We got ta get out
of this mode
of thinking that players that «do well» at
other clubs and or, in
other leagues are always going to be the answer to our problems.
Other journalists either seem to believe that a central defender is key to our campaign, or are hearing that our
club is predominantly looking to bring in one, as there are plenty
of links at present to get the mind
thinking.
The ludicrous
thought that even one, any one
of these duds would ever be playing under the
other five top
clubs managers is too stupid to even imagine.
Just when Arsenal
thought they had shaken off the interest from
other clubs in trying to sign Hector Bellerin, it seems that there is still plenty more to do if The Gunners are to hang on to one
of the
club's most promising players.
Mertesacker is already 32 years old, and most fans
think that he is becoming slower as he ages, but one
of our players respects him more than any
other player at the
club, and when that player is Mesut Ozil perhaps we should listen to his opinion.
I even
thought top
clubs were in for him. Some three or 2 seasons back many here were debating why he should be our main striker. As soon as you mention any
other strikers name people would come out with stats and many things defending him.Even Wenger has defended him blindly in the past.People say Wenger's stubborn yeah. But don't we know that there's a reason why everything happens?Honestly speaking he's the reason why Arsene Wenger has failed to sign a top notch striker because he still believes in him.The funny thing is we signed Welbeck at that time who to me did nothing before to be the main man here.People keep saying Welbeck is hardworking and that he works his socks off.But the question is was that our reason for signing him.Welbeck being signed to challenge Giroud tells me a lot about Giroud's quality.Even Walcott (no offence to him) who has zero CF qualities was even chosen over him for a string
of games and all in all I
think he did well but has too many defeciencies for that role. We've compromised as a
club and it'll come back to bite us.
«If he can't find a certain type
of goalkeeper for a specific price, or maybe a centre back or central midfielder, I don't
think he'll get them, whereas
other clubs will say «you know what, I'm going to pay the extra, I'm going to get them no matter what.»
Atleast all our players would have had to know every
other players style on the pitch
of play not in the training ground, i used to say akb but honestly wenger is not acting like the acronym, something has to happen the man has got to wake up or step down, but im scared
of change cos it is like a gamble, a new coach with a new philosophy and style, it might take time to adapt and that time would be enough for
other teams to step up thus demoralsing the
club, both fans and board, wouldn't like us to do a porchettino, look at Liverpool, if its gona be a new coach its got ta be one
of em arsenal ol boys, who knows what it is like to be called a gooner, that's just my
thought on this matter,
Assuming we do win, do you
think any
of the
other clubs at the top will slip up?
my
thought is johnny knows the browns are sick
of drunk players who party and knows he blew his chance there... i feel he knows the
club is moving on from him so he joined rehab so
other teams might take a roll on him instead
of him being looked at like he doesn't try...
I
think its time he and stan kronke are forced out
of the
club because one or the
other will not step aside or down.
Ball
clubs involved in the arms race
think the answers are coming from outside North America, which explains the fierce bidding wars the past two years for righthander Hideki Irabu
of Japan, righthander Livan Hernandez
of Cuba and
other foreigners.

club teammates and international colleagues; one would
think that Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen would be sick
of the sight
of each
other by now.
Every time I
think we've fallen as low as we can down drops the lift» we even have to listen to rumours in the next window we are that desperate, I agree with a lot
of you it's BS if we don't get CL (which we won't without signings) why would he come, and by the way this
other midfielder for 6 m, can't be bothered to check his name is a AM because we dout have enough lol, I will always be an arsenal fan but I can not condone the way the
club is run and the lies we keep being fed
«But we are professional, we are salaried to this
club and we just want to have the best result for this
club — not to
think about
other situations or this situation
of the boss.
There is certainly a school
of thought that suggests Spurs chairman Daniel Levy acts as a kind
of director
of football, picking cost effective targets and doing all the negotiating with
other clubs personally.
Besides several teams who have questions surrounding one or possibly two players, there is no squad that has so many issues heading into the final week
of the transfer window... even Monaco, who have lost numerous players from their starting 11 have less controversy swirling in and around their
club and they have champion's league play to contend with this season... just
think of how ridiculous this situation is especially considering that we have had the same manager for over 20 years... no team should be better organized than ours... if nothing else, that should be the one advantage this team holds over all
others, yet the exact opposite has occurred... this fact is even more disturbing considering the main argument against removing Wenger from his managerial position was that there was no suitable replacement and that people feared some sort
of perceived drop - off if a new manager was brought into the mix... based on what we've witnessed since the time
of his contract renewal a monkey with a magic eight ball could have done an adequate job... I hate to make jokes, in light
of our current dilemma, but this team is so screwed up if I don't laugh about it, the only plausible response is to either cry or do something incredibly destructive... just look around this squad and try to see what our delusional manager sees that allow him to make such positive statements about our current team
I
think only barca real or Bayern can tempt those players away from leicester, they would give at least a year to the
club, but season after that they will move onto
other club depending on their form next season. As for arsenal transfer i wouldn't want to listen to rumours as most
of the times these rumours are just utter garbage.i want a certain rumour about Wolfsburg signing giroud to be true.Anyways if our idiotic manager has some sense left in him after an embarrassing season he should get a premium striker which the
club needed for past 4 years. He need to put his ego aside and his old philosophy
of waiting for players to develop. We need already established players in every department
of our team.Penny pinching has cost us just pay the damn money get the players.I get the feeling next season is going to be harder and we have less chance
of winning cause man city have had 2 seasons without premier league and guardiola is gonna bring more quality and hunger to that team.
There would always have been plenty
of managers willing to take on the job, even though the
club's transfer budget was a fraction
of those being spent by our direct rivals, but I do not
think any
other top manager would have stuck with us, especially with big spending
clubs such as Real Madrid and PSG after them.
Their failure to make the top four saw star player Gareth Bale leave the
club for Real Madrid, and it was
thought that Fabio Coentrao could move in the
other direction as part
of the deal.
Chelsea's only good signing is Fabregas, Diego Costa I
think is overrated and a bit hot or cold from what I've seen, Costa could quite possibly flop, in my opinion, he's not the definition
of a «World Class Striker» and as for Fellipe Luis, I haven't watched enough
of him to make a judgement however if we bring in one more marquee signing then I'll be convinced that we've had the best transfer window out
of any
other club in the Premier League.
Especially now that Ivan Gazidis has taken some time out on ESPN to remind us about how financially poor we are in comparison to them
other oil rich
clubs plus how we are
thinking about employing the very effective recruiting strategy
of Leicester City.
I'm so sick
of people telling those
of us who are disgruntled fans to relax and give this
club time to correct itself... for anyone who believes that taking a wait - and - see approach is appropriate at this juncture they should take a good long look at themselves in the mirror because they are a big part
of the problem... no
other «big»
club's fans would stand for this shit for nearly as long as we have...
think about it, we've witnessed a changing
of the guard at every major
club in England, Spain, France and Germany in the last several years because those «big»
clubs failed to live up to expectations (Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern, PSG, Chelsea, ManU, ManCity etc...)... for some reason, many fans have become as fragile as our current manager, believing that there couldn't possibly be a suitable replacement, even though everyone
of these
clubs have found multiple replacements and still achieved far more than our
club... this mindset has been created by an organization that has been milking it's fans, telling countless lies (no world class players available) and lowering expectations every since they rolled out the biggest lie
of all: that we couldn't spend because
of the new stadium but once it was paid off we could compete with any team in the world... this organization is rotting from the inside out and if we don't demand that those in charge put soccer first this despicable behaviour won't end with Wenger's ridiculous 2 year contract... I
think the real fear isn't that a suitable replacement doesn't exist, but that this organization is so money hungry and poorly mismanaged that we will sink even lower by choosing our next coach the same way they choose our players, on the cheap... even so, we need to see what mustache will do if left to his own devices so he will have to show his true colours... only then can we purge this
club and start anew
Whatever it takes could mean a lot more than we previously
thought, though, as the Daily Mail is reporting that Premier League rules on wages and the limit
of how much they can rise from one season to the next will almost certainly force Arsene Wenger to sell at least two
of the
club's
other big earners in order to offer Alexis and Ozil the wages they want.
The only thing which makes our team unbalanced is playing the luxury item we bought called ozil.I
thought he would need time to adjust to physicality
of premier league so i supported him, but the guy hasn't improved he tries to dribble past ppl but runs into them somehow, tries to do showboating at unnecessary time which he fails to do miserably. And i see him giving too many back passes when he should drive forward. And the biggest reason i stopped liking him as a player is bcoz
of his sulky attitude. No passion or drive for the
club, as if he wanted to be at some
other club and is just doing the job without his heart in it.He neeeds to be placed on the bench and make him work hard to retain his place.Ramsey and coq in middle with ox and sanchez on both wing and cazorla as cam will make us a more balanced midfield.
It is only a matter
of time before we start getting lots
of Arsenal transfer rumours linking us with a summer transfer bid for Romelu Lukaku, after it was revealed by Sky Sports and
other sporting websites that the Belgium international star has rejected the new contract that is being offered to him by his current
club Everton, so I
thought I would get in early and ask whether you Arsenal fans out there would like the Gunners to go for this powerful, prolific and Premier League proven striker?
Well written, but I
think it will fall on deaf ears, my fear is as follows, it will take a loss in money for the manager and board to change, this will only come if we finish out
of the top 4, but knowing the board they would still give home a season to try again, I feel very sorry for Sanchez, he is total quality and deserves better, most
of the
other players look settled, turn up give70 % and get paid, no matter what level you play at you should come off the pitch
thinking I gave everything, how many
of our players could say that, they lack motivation, player for player we are as good if not better than athletico Madrid but they have a manger that gets 100 % out
of every player, Klopp is the same, but why would they leave their
clubs to come here with a boar that cares about money not entertainment, Wenger was a lucky manager he inherited a top defence now his luck has run out
The
other club interested are Lyon, who are usually very shrewd in the transfer market and clearly
think they can get their man at a bargain after months
of not playing in the first team.
Does he
think a decent
club like Valencia or some
other which does not have that much financial constraint will sell their top players towards the end
of transfer window cheaply and without getting to replace them?
As they are well aware
of the
club's policy with regards to the salary payment structure, I don't
think they are requesting an exaggerated pay raise which would separate them that much high from
other players
of the
club as football is a team work though some special individual's effort is vital to motivate the whole team spirit.
if i was an arsenal fan in u.k; i wud
of course support team for this season.and see if the
club is serious abt challenging.if not, i will not only avoid going to matches; but even avoid watching on t.v and that will hit their revenues hard and make kroenke
think twice abt not spending.i wud unite with
other fans and raise banners like «mr; kroenke pls spend or pls leave» lol....
Not sure why Ox changed to him, but I
think the agent
thinks about his own future, as much as his players future. The problem is, any
of these
other clubs he moves to, he will be expected to be be available, and if not, will rapidly drop down the pecking order.
Just compare the way Arsenal treat their players to
other teams. You'll clearly see the difference. The way we treat our players makes them feel so big.Just look at the way Fabregas and Van Persie behaved before leaving. They go to
other clubs and they look good but you always know they were better under Arsenal.I can't
think of one top player who left Arsenal and was better. If the player has pride the team should also know they have their pride. No player is bigger than any
club and hence all players should be treated with that in mind..
do you really
think you're helping the
club by slurping up Wenger following 16 minutes
of good play...
think logically just for a second, never has Monreal contributed so much in the final third (then he went out injured again), we scored two goals based on set pieces, which certainly hasn't happened in quite some time and the
other two goal scorers have scored a handful
of goals in the past 3 seasons... this is why this
club is in the predicament they're in because you lack any sense
of perspective or foresight, much like the manager you cuddle up to regardless
of whatever inane things he does that negatively impact our
club... it's like finding an unopened chocolate bar in the garbage can
At any
other big
club in the prem I
think that would be something the board were concerned about, subject to it being true
of course.
If the Arsenal board are still
thinking about the manager situation and whether to call an end to the long reign
of Arsene Wenger then I
think that the current situation at two
other Premier League
clubs could help.
just reading around and all if not most rags are saying our net spend is # 46 million how can they tell that when they do nt even know what our real budget is if it was # 100 million then we are in profit by quite a bit i do nt really know what they base there assumptions on this is where you could do with swiss ramble to dissect what really was spent from what i could see most
of our 5 transfers were covered by out goings and c / l monies earned debuchy - vela deal, chambers - vermalen deal, ospina - cesc and miquel deals sanchez c / l monies and
other monies recovered from wages and old installment based deals this is the same with welbeck i would imagine if not then poldolski will be sold in jan to cover this as i
think he was going to be sold and this would have covered welbecks transfer more or less also and people do nt always realize that arsenal have money coming in from more than one source to cover transfers not just puma and emirates deals we have property arm
of the
club which makes money for transfers also outstanding debts we are owed
of old transfers we receive each year on song cesc maybe van persie and all
other structured deals in installment payments sales we just flogged miquel as an example and all the monies from released wages and youths sold its a bit to complex to just say we have a net spend
of xyz when arsenal do nt even make the budget public so they have no starting point from which to go from i bet you we have broke even or even made a slight profit as we are self sustaining it would make sense that we can break even or at least make the net spend under # 10 million each year at least screw then all we are the arsenal we do thing our way
Jack Wilshere received a staggering 22 offers.Maybe he chose Palace because he wanted to stay in England because Inter Milan, Valencia, Juventus, Roma and a lot
of other teams are in for him.Wow then they must be average.Haven't they checked his stats?Don't they know he's injury prone?Do they
think he's anything special? He should take the opportunity and leave to fulfill his potential.Isn't he tired
of being undervalued? After all it is claimed he is not going to be a starter for Arsenal again.Doesn't he know potential can never be taken away from a player it's only form which is altered. Why does he persist when he has
clubs begging to sign him and give him the chance?
You're damn right bruv... arsenal fans on here should know one thing: all
other (big epl)
clubs want arsenal to fail - reason; they are presently failing... I
think we all should learn to enjoy a Win (no matter who we win) especially when all
other potential rivals dropped points... fyi liverpool just lost to the lowly, out -
of - form New castle.
i am
thinking # 50 million + big we wont know yet but when it comes it will bowl the whole
of eurpoe over knock all the
other clubs sideways.
