as to ignore all the fossil evidence, carbon dating, and light source definition from

as Christianity is one religion amongst many world religions which are slowly learning to share with each
other their spiritual treasures and to work together for peace, the relief
of human need and the preservation

From this beginning came all that followed, so everything that is is related, woven into a seamless network, with life gradually emerging after billions
of years on this

of this massive, breathtaking cosmic fact dwarfs all our traditional images
of divine transcendence — whether political or metaphysical.
Yeah, that makes much more sense than proven factual evidence

If religious people stay out

of public interest then I would say they are free to do

of evil on the
planet, the one that tries to make you forget your humanity with bribes and extortion.
They can begin to welcome — gingerly perhaps — the churches and
other NGOs
as consultants and partners in the process
of formulating ideas and programs, and in mobilizing public opinion in support
of proposals that may make it possible for humanity to survive and thrive on this
planet in a nuclear space age.
Your certainty that life exists in
other planets, in the absence
of concrete proof, is just
as delusional.
There are hundreds
of billions
of stars in our galaxy, each with
planets, that large
of a number even if a tiny fraction had an atmosphere and even if a fraction
of them had water (
as we know it is required, but life may not require it on
other planets) it would be amazing if there wasn't a carbon based lifeform somewhere else in our galaxy, let alone in the universe with billions
of galaxies each with billions
of stars and trillions
of planets.
All semantics aside, they do not believe in One God, they believe in 3 distinct gods
of this
planet, that there are
planets all over the universe being celestially reproduced by
other gods... and the various wives each god has... that we will become gods one day
as god was once a man... sorry ladies, you can only be a godess if you please your celestial husband and he calls you up.
Simply because I exist on a
Planet about a billion light years from any
other currently living form
of life, not chemicals, elements or gases, and how I don't see this
as some random thing — there is something greater than you and I and the evidence is all around you.
Somehow, a belief system that teaches people that they are the center
of all the universe, created in the image
of the most perfect being imaginable, strikes me
as a bit more
of an ego trip than accepting that we aren't destined to live forever because
of our «specialness», but that we live our short lifetimes and die like every

planet, our bodies decomposing and ultimately entering the food chain once again, on a tiny speck
of a
planet in an ordinary, remote backwater
of the universe.
