Far from struggling, Galaxy was a game apart, so far removed and far ahead
of other platformers that it might have, aptly, come from another galaxy.
Same goes with a lot
of other platformers and action games.
The method of attack is what helps make Tinhead a bit more creative than a lot
of the other platformers of the time.

As I mentioned in my original review
of the game, as flawed as I find them to be, I enjoy the personality and tone

of all the plot is too linear you play as Mario throughout the whole game you don't get to play as peach or bowser, there are no new characters
other than kersti, all the characters in the game are from the Mario
platformers, there are no exp so you can't level up and if you run out
of stickers you have no choice but to run away, peach only has about five lines, bowser is the main antagonist and he has no dialogue, in the previous installments the main antagonist always had dialogue, and one
of this game's worst problems is that luigi went from being a playable character to a glorified cameo, I have no idea what nintendo was thinking when they made this game.
The only thing that this game lacks, are more awesome boss fights, but
other than that, is a very good game, specially for those who were born on the golden era
of platformers (the late 80's and early 90's)
This on the
other hand is much more simplified, basically just a basic
platformer few levels that you can finish in about 3 hours, so a bit
of disappointment for me, but it's still pretty solid
platformer, it's still Ducktales and it has a fantastic soundtrack, including beautiful covers
of the main theme, both instrumental in the main menu and vocal version in the final credits.
While 88 heroes does stand out from
other 2D
platformers with the variety
of characters that are playable, it does fall short from standing
Harold continues this new tradition
of modern
platformers, recasting the gameplay in an unexpected way while maintaining the
other conventions
of the genre.
This is probably the most unique part
of the game and the thing that gives it an edge over
other similar
platformers.
Because
of this, I wasn't always motivated to go back and find what I was missing whereas in games like Super Mario 3D World and
other platformers from Nintendo I typically did like to go back and find collectibles.
Not necessarily, it looks like DK Tropical Freeze is not some mere «2D cartoon
platformer», but has multiple tiers
of action, with level interaction and very large intricate enemies attacking from the foreground and background, a lot
of very highly detailed and fluidly animated elements within each level, not to mention who knows how advanced the enemy AI is for each character on the screen possibly acting independently or interdependently
of each
other, all this requires lots
of processor power to pull off let alone maintain a steady 60 fps.
If there is one thing I like in my
platformer games, it's the ability to also make my own levels and plays those made
of others.
Games like Cuphead, Super Meat Boy, Celeste, and a slew
of other fantastic games are leading the way for
platformers in 2018, and I couldn't help but want to see Nintendo inject some
of the same originality found in those games, but nonetheless, the game is still a solid
platformer and has the heart
of a classic Nintendo
platformer.
One is for the people who love rainy film noir, the
other is for fans
of hardcore
platformers, the third one feels like a summer blockbuster.
The game has a lot
of small nuances like this that separate it from most
other platformers, besides its one - finger control scheme.

other than Wooly World, I love Yoshi's Island series, one
of my favourite, if not my favourite,
platformers, I wan na see more
of it.

of what sets Sonic apart from every
other platformers.

of classic Arcade Archives games, Sengoku 2 and Star Force; the critically acclaimed text adventure Subsurface Circular; the horror game Detention; the investigative game A Normal Lost Phone; the 2D

However, the production quality is ultimately for naught considering that Half - Genie Hero, the fourth entry in the Shantae series
of 2D
platformers, comes up far short in
other areas.
It has made me more open - minded when it comes to
platformers, and since playing Stealth Inc. 2 I have already thought
of other similar games that I want to go back and play through.
The «stealthy» style
of the game makes it much more exciting than
other platformers I've played.
Something not like
other recent games especially with the recent popularity
of sidescrolling
platformers...
The multiplayer - oriented
platformer is the third Wii game ever to pass the three million mark, the
other two being Wii Sports and Wii Fit, both

of the best

Final conclusion: Max: The Curse
of Brotherhood is a great indie
platformer which I'm glad had the chance to come to
other platformers.
