use of other scriptures is in tune with the Christian principle of selective use of Biblical texts.
Wishing to let Scripture remain totally authoritative and infallible in faith and life, Jewett appeals to a second Reformation principle of interpretation - namely, that Scripture must be understood in
light of other Scripture.
They also picked and chose a small subset of the texts about Jesus to make into their canonical Bible, rejecting a great
deal of other scripture.
Thus while there are some textual problems in connection with the Koran, there are relatively many less than in the
case of other scriptures.
