The «X Portfolio» has been influential, and in at least one case that influence was direct: in 1999 Catherine Opie, then immersed in San Francisco's bondage community, made a series
of photogravures in response to the «X» pictures, which she has credited with having a liberating effect on her.

of photogravures and her play with perception, Saxon - Hill now introduces a painterly and sculptural hand in a new series of works.

Another highlight of the gift is a rare and important series
of photogravures by Takuma Nakahira entitled La nuit, originally printed for an exhibition at the Sixième Biennale de Paris in 1969.
Entitled ««Nobody and Other Songs», the show will feature a video work, two neons and a suite
of photogravures.
«After the Fact», 2007, is a series
of photogravures based on a 6 channel video installation, «In passing», in which we follow a young woman who anonymously leaves her baby in a hatch at a Berlin hospital.
Kelly Reemtsen, an artist well - known for her paintings of tool - wielding women in cocktail dresses, will have new paintings available, as well as a new series
of photogravures.

of two foley artists — to the «bewilderingly intricate» Event for Stage (2015) in which actor Stephen Dillane delivers (in four performances cut into one) scripts given to him, page by page, by the artist, the exhibition examines performance and its relationship to narrative, the imagination and the collective effort
of artist and audience in film, theatre, drawing and

of shattered minds, while León Ferrari and Kerstin Persson use

of Stieglitz's evocative studies
of clouds, called Equivalents, made from 1922 to 1937, and over 170 portraits
of his friends and colleagues throughout his career.
