But if you don't blind bake it correctly — aka weighted down with beans that none
of the
recipes I tried suggested I do — in a mere 15 minutes
of baking, it has the potential to shrink like a shy little flower and come out looking like the
pie crust below.
The major difference is the temperature
of the butter — the bar
recipe calls for the butter to be chilled, and the
pie crust recipe calls for the butter to be melted.
I have made and savored a lot
of your
recipes Mary, but I forgot about those cranberry pecan
pie crust leaves!
I haven't tested this blend in every single one
of gluten free
recipes, but I have tested it in my
recipe for gluten free pizza dough, gluten free
pie crust, and a bunch
of gluten free cookies.
Hi Lisa, You should prepare the filling after the
pie crust comes out
of the oven per the
recipe, but it's not necessary to let it cool completely to room temperature.
