I started out with starch, a scoop
of plain white rice and a chunk of ugali, which is a maize porridge (similar to polenta) cooked into a dough - like consistency.
About a week ago i cooked a homemade meal
of plain white rice with carrots and boiled potatoes with it's skin on.

Sifted in 175g
plain flour (half wholemeal, half
white), 80g brown
rice flour, a pinch
of pink Himalayan rock salt and 1 rounded tsp ground cinnamon.
Plain white rice has less Vitamin E, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B6, folic acid, potassium, magnesium and iron and don't forget to subtract three quarters
of the fibre too.
It's a sweet, hot, and crunchy dish with lots
of flavor that almost begs to be served with
plain white rice.

Finally, it's also true that brown
rice doesn't raise blood sugar as much as
white rice does, but since no one eats a plate
of plain rice by itself, that doesn't make any difference in the real world.
