out and
play Ox in the hole (he has to understand your the highest paid player
of the club, your given freedom like nobody else and your even seeking even more money with a new contract you can't
play like that ever and go AWOL)- Put Sanchez on the wing or up top but put Welbeck in (Walcott didn't track
back near enough for the Alsonso goal)- Iwobi has been bright
from the wing let him
play there - Xhaka has to go
back in the holding midfield role and I would take

Of course, losing wingers Robben and Ribery will have forced his hand slightly here, but it still shows a lack of a Plan B that Pep couldn't bring out a similar threat from other players like Gotze and Muller, who can both play wide, or indeed use Lahm in his preferred position of right - back and utilise his quality from there — in fact, the former Germany captain's use as a midfielder since this manager's arrival is one of many examples of his attempts at tactical innovation going wron

In the midfield, (including RWB & LWB) we have a whole bunch
of tweeners... none offer the full package, none make sense in our manager's current favourite formation, except for Sead on the left and Ox on the right, and all
of them have never shown any consistency for more than a heartbeat... Sead, who I'm including in this category because
of our present formation, looks like a positive addition, minus his occasional brain farts, but I would rather see what he could do in a
back 4 before making my mind up... Ox, who has never
played better, which isn't saying much considering his largely underwhelming
play in previous seasons, seems to have found a home in this new formation; unfortunately, can we really expect this oft - injured player to handle the taxing duties that come with said position over the long haul, not to mention, it looks like he has no intention
of staying... Ramsey has relied on the empathy that stems
from his gruesome injury years ago and the excitement that was generated a few years
back when he finally seemed to put in altogether, but on the whole he has been a big disappointment (neither he nor the Ox have scored enough to warrant a regular spot)... Wiltshire should be put on a weekly contract then
played until he suffers his first injury, if and when that occurs he should be shipped -
out and no one should very be allowed to say his name on club grounds ever again... Elnehy & Coq are average players who couldn't make any
of the top 7 teams currently in the EPL... both have showed some great energy on the pitch, but neither are top quality and no good team can afford to have that many average players on their bench
playing the same position, especially with Coq's injury history / discipline concerns and Elheny's headless chicken tendencies... as for Xhaka, his tenure here so far has been incredibly underwhelming... we know he has some skills to provide the long ball but his defensive work is piss poor and he gives the ball away too cheaply and far too often... finally, the enigma himself, Ozil, so much skill with his left foot but his presence has been more frustrating than uplifting... in many respects his failure has been directly related to the failure
of this club to provide him with the necessary players up front, minus Sanchez
of course, and unless something drastic happens very soon his legacy will be largely a negative one (much like Wenger's)
That ball just did not seem to go into the
back of the net, we had several shot ON GOAL, but their keeper
played out of his skin, just like de Gea
from United and several other teams we have drawn to this season.
See how poor nacho monreal was today yet people never criticize him.Gibbs should start over him next week.Yet people would say things like Gibbs is shit despite him being very consistent for arsenal. The only problem to me with Gibbs is that sometimes in some matches he gets caught
out too much apart
from that he is a better left
back than Monreal and when both are at full pelt Gibbs is still better.I just do nt get it i watch the two
of them
play and i do nt know what makes Monreal better than him.
Our player
of the season so far?Certainly the most consistent.JACK AND OZIL CONTRACTS - just get them signed up for F *** S SAKE.Jack doesn't want to go anywhere and Ozil will have his choice
of big clubs to choose
from if allowed to be able to go on a free. How about giving
out a statement
of our ambitions (yeah right) and show were prepared to pay whatever it takes (up to the point
of being ridiculous) to SIGN the best and KEEP the best» These two are the best we have so get them sorted early to send
out a message
of how serious we intend to be.AUBAMEYANG - So what if he has a contract. So did Sanchez.Offer the right money to Dortmund and the player and he will be ours. What is there to question over this deal?He is a proven goalscorer. We have just lost one.Get the deal done.GIROUD - Get rid
of him to Dortmund if they want him either by selling or if it sweetens the deal just loan him till the end
of the season.He was a
back up when Sanchez was here and will be on the mix
of back ups if Auba signs. He has a World Cup squad to fight for just to be considered so needs to be
playing every week.We do not need him if Auba signs and would demand better than him if the deal fails to happen.Just get rid.JONNY EVANS - I'm not sure.Agree Kos needs nursing through games and we do not have consistent performers to come in if he is injured or rested mainly due to both Chambers and Holdimg not progressing through as much as we first thought and hoped for.Gooners have always been patient and supportive
of the youngsters as they have come through but question marks to the whole coaching staff as to why these two seem to have stalled as much as they have done.Steve Bould - What do you do?You should be ashamed.
Welbeck came
back from injury last cson and was in scoring form only for Wenger to bench him or / and move him
out wide just to
play a Giroud who was on a 20 - game draught and it made us rack up about 3consecutive draws and a loss which made us lose any hope
of the title.

I've been watching the boys

Carlo Ancelotti's apparent preference to
play Sergio Ramos and Pepe at centre -
back has seen the talented Frenchman's performances limited to 20 starts in La Liga this season, with another five games coming

out of the side injured.
If you contrast his performance in the games where Arsenal had less possession, where he had to do the job
of a true defensive midfielder, that is, chase the ball, close down the opposition, help his team
play confidently
from the
back by coming
out with the ball and taking on the one on one chase
back toward his goal.
@brada — thanks.i thought i was insane, just thinking that thought
of we missing giroud.you know arsenal believes in the fluid system
of passing the ball and keeping possession but when we
play a team that presses well and close down space, passing
out from the
back becomes difficult (for some reason, i du n no our passing has not been as fluid as the era
of FAB, NASIRI, SONG ETC).
But while Guerreiro will be
playing for his country this summer it looks like the current Arsenal left
back Kieran Gibbs will be watching the international tournament
from home after he was left
out of the latest England squad by Roy Hodgson.
the likes
of neista David Silva our own ozil they don't defend but rather tack
back to slot in the defensive line for the real defenders to do their job.have u all take note that ozil don't normally jump for headers in the heart
of the midfield.so all I'm saying is if Chamberlain do nt want to defend yo make that position his then he should trying
playing in the attacking position as he did excel there when he was
played against Bayern last year or he is
out from arsenal.
We will have to wait and see how things pan
out in East London at the weekend, and Arsenal wwill need to
play well to come
back with all three points
from our Premier League clash away to West Ham United, but I do have a feeling that, for a change, things are going our way ahead
of this crucial game.
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety
of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style
of play has become a shadow
of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and
play» mentality where players
play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly
from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid
of the
backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance
play quickly
out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball...
from our
backs out wide, we've seen pace
from the likes
of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted
play of Monreal, but none
of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was
playing and his ratio
of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing -
back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched
played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball
play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part
of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he
played with Coq Wenger always seemed to
play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part
of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature
of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player
of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been
played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front
of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that,
of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a
back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one
of those 3 players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing -
back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one
of the most committed skill players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already
of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs
of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack
of mobility is an albatross around the necks
of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because
of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
Wenger thinks he is now ready and appears to be showing faith in him by not
playing him
out wide at the end
of last season but as cover for Giroud, Theo was getting
back from injury and I am glad Wenger didn't rush him
back like he has had to do previously...
Whether draxler or not arsenal is still a weaker team, is it something bad if we have both draxler and Sanchez in the same team fighting for places, just imagine van persie, Sanchez, ozil, carzola are in the same team, with likes
of inform konsieny, mustafi, and konlansinic, and good holding midfider,... our problem with this 343 information or 3421 information apart
from Wenger
playing players
out of position we don't have a strong holdmidfider that retrieve the ball
back when we lost possession... Kant's is perfect example
of that, look at the job he does at Chelsea is amazing...... without a good holding midfielder our defenders are vulnerable
Since UM doctors didn't keep Hurst
out of action at any point during his
playing career for heart concerns, there was little reason to believe they'd hold him
back from the program sanctioned event (if they even get a say, I'm not entirely sure).
hes also incapable
of bringing the ball
out from the
back because
of his slowness, this marks him down in the distribution colomn, plus the fact he has no physical presence, so im not buying him having the strength to shrug off players because this doesn't happen when he
plays.
This is 3 defenders
out of six and the only time we may have 5 in the field will be depend on the game... where we are defending a slim lead and need to shut
out an opponent (mostly that happens about 30 closing minutes in the game... The issue about Man United's LvG trial should not scare anyone
from looking at our own strengths and
playing through them — We are faster, we are younger, we are more technically adept and maybe we can implement this best... Remember guys a wingback is also a defender when the need arises and the questions we should be asking is if Walcott, Ox, Podolski and Carzola can really learn to track
back when
played in the wing
back roles...
He goes
from being in possession
of the ball to having a heavy touch and now he is reaching
out or sliding in to win the ball
back he just lost (with his QUALITY dribbling into players not around them) YES on very rare occasions he pulls off some flicks and one touch
play but NOT constant enough.
Let me quickly remind you before you forget again and again that this very problem was outlined before the close
of transfer window, instead
of making reinforcements, he sold our true
back up central defender, didn't buy replacement after he «promised», and
played an already poor left
back out of position for cover, we have not had a defensive midfielder after Gilberto left, so tell me again how these problems are fresh
from this season... Its time arsenal fans stop glory hunting and realise that even if Wenger hand us the EPL (a chance fatter gunnersaurus)... HE NEEDS TO GO!!!
Playing player's
out of position, not making the relevant substitutions when it's needed and not having an alternative game plan are some
of the things holding the team
back from achieving the success we all crave — EPL & UCL.
those injured are always the same and we will not want to have same old story like Diaby years and years in the waiting and nothing came
out of it.those coming
back from long injuries should
play with the reserves or loan them
out to smaller teams in the EPL until they re-discover their mental - physical strength and then get them
back but we need 2 platyers (Carvalho as DM and Huntelaar ST) to be able to challenge for the last 4 months the EPL title. If fellow gooners have some names bring them
out but we do not have more excuses..
If they
play as done Wednesday in CL qualifier, we are in serious dirt; their speed, passing are devastating
Of course Sanchez might
play Liverpool, doesn't mean he is staying; he will be in better shape for his country two games... In that case he will take a direct flight
back to team buying while
out in country's duty... I» m a true gooner but realistic, honest;
from what u saw that night, Liverpool has most pleasant game in EPL and Europe's Top 3 to 5.
We start yesterday with a midfield
of: Xhaka, who was never a DM or used to
playing the as the midfielder to ply
out from the
back.
Well your righ with met spend but in amount paid
out for players no net were 5th but i agree our champions league performances have been poor we had some tough draws and the premier league is more demanding then the other leagues in strwnght
of competition and games
played still excuses do nt win but that monaco loss left me shaking my head in cl we get theough the group but cant muster the strength needed for knockout and we should be performing better were under performing for the talent xhaka has frustrated me hes got the talent and
plays well but cant hold focus in games he drops off and loses his marks our academy is doing well but yes it is tougher now to break in to the first team iwobi has done well but one or two seasons away
from being there if he does turn himself elite ever has to score or he will just be another ox but i think its been a wake up call to the club we finally have to act theres a wave
of ideas to not only get us
back to winning ways but become title contenders and i think give him the extension one year its a world cup year and that will also allow our players esp strikers who been very poor this year realized its tough to
play in englad and next year will have a better idea what it really takes to win here shore up some spots and depth and were in contention fail and the changes will happen but let him have one more year the fact were willing to spend shows me an upturn
from the decline
