I'm not really a big fan
of popcorn ceiling but unfortunately it's not in our budget at the moment to remove it.
Getting rid
of the popcorn ceiling and adding crown molding and revamping the ceiling fan and maybe touching up the dining room chandelier.

At first it was just the dining room, then because it was our anniversary, the husband decided to gift me the removal
of popcorn ceiling in the kitchen too.

haha I actually held a piece of the planking up onto
some of our popcorn ceilings to see if it felt like it would work, and I think it would!

So, not only is this study not saying that IGF - 1 causes cancer (only raises the risks, but hey, so does living under a
popcorn ceiling), but it's not even referring to the normal populace and CERTAINLY not referring to foods we consume that contain (by relative standards, MINUSCULE) amounts

Fast forward and after closing in preparation
of updating the home it was brought to my attention that
popcorn ceilings around the time period could contain asbestos.
The list
of outdated design elements is truly endless, but some
of the biggest offenders are old school wallpaper, the floor - to -
ceiling wood paneling that may or may not be actual wood, and,
of course,
popcorn ceilings.
That means there's no hand - fluttering and mincing around about piles
of junk, stink, missing appliances, busted doors and windows, ugly
popcorn ceilings, damaged floors, possible asbestos, OMG, is there is mold on this wall?
But, if you really just want to leave the
popcorn ceiling as it is I would put two coats
of BIN 1 -2-3 primer instead
of Kiltz.
Seriously, who ever thought
popcorn ceilings were a good idea?!! We have them in our entire house and I would LOVE to remove them but I am so afraid

Ah the allure
of mauve carpet and
popcorn ceilings, I completely identify with that, and who can resist a Father
of the Bride façade?
She has great tips on how to remove the
popcorn texture from the
ceiling — a project completed as part
of her daughter's bedroom makeover.
Right when we closed we scraped off the sparkly
popcorn ceiling, gave everything a couple coats
of white paint, then added furniture and accessories!
We have
popcorn ceilings which everyone is trying to get rid
of.
My husband and I are also scraping the
ceiling, or should I say my husband will, whoever thought
of that «
popcorn» stuff should have toothpicks driven into their eyes!

of modern updates such as sheet rock and
popcorn ceilings have been added over the years.

of a similar idea in progress at HGTV.com (though I wish the painting were a little neater and the
ceilings weren't
popcorn).
The major changes were eliminating the
popcorn ceiling, installing dark hardwood (love the contrast
of dark floors and light walls) and adding the panel moulding and trim — getting the shell right.
Prior to the renovation, the living room had
popcorn ceilings, a rickety
ceiling - fan and a brick fireplace that — like the home exterior — was in varying shades
of brown.
But as you can see, it was still living in 1972, with wall to wall pink shag carpet; pink silk drapes; floor to
ceiling, metallic foil, rose wallpaper; and
of course the
popcorn ceiling.
As you look to eliminate the
popcorn ceiling, be aware
