March of the Big White Barbarians takes us on a slideshow tour
of public sculpture in London, with a rapid succession of public works of art by late 20th century artists, such as Lynn Chadwick, Barry Flanagan, Eduardo Paolozzi, Fernando Botero and Richard Serra.
This Spring he installed a new sculpture at Heathrow Airport — the largest piece
of public sculpture in Europe.
In 1963, a group that included Mr. Forakis, Mark di Suvero, Robert Grosvenor and Forrest Myers started exhibiting their work, playing free jazz and discussing the future
of public sculpture in a floor at the top of a loft building in Lower Manhattan near Park Place, where several of them lived.
It interrogates the phenomenon
of public sculpture in the former Yugoslavia, the artist's country of birth, dedicated to non-national media celebrities, such as Bruce Lee, Bob Marley and Samantha Fox.

This Spring he installed Slipstream at Heathrow Airport — the largest piece

In her film «Turbo Sculpture», for example, she interrogates the recent phenomenon
of public sculpture in former Yugoslavia dedicated to non-national media celebrities, such as Bruce Lee, Bob Marley and Tupac Shakur.
This 1972 project marked an ambitious moment in the history
of public sculpture in Britain.
Though there is an element
of public sculpture in Shapiro's work — Verge (2003 — 08), a commission for the nearby 23 Savile Row, comprises four bronze cuboids that seem to hover above the street — for the most part its energies are turned inwards, creating private experiences, seemingly untroubled by the political ambitions that often breathe life into such projects.
Mathias Rastorfer, a partner at Switzerland's Galerie Gmurzynska, paid homage to the city's strong tradition
of public sculpture in his booth, which greeted fairgoers at the entrance with a bronze sculpture by Joan Miró in front of a black - and - white photo of the 39 - foot - high concrete statue of the same form that sits in Chicago's Brunswick Building Plaza.
His five works
of public sculpture in Manhattan, and dozens of similar works in Los Angeles, Philadelphia and other cities, guaranteed him a vast audience every week, yet he remained, if not obscure, much less than famous.
