The process is simply to cut a sheet
of puff pastry into four
squares, saute some diced apples in some spices, vanilla, and sugar, put the apple filling in the
puff pastry, seal»em up, dust»em with cinnamon sugar, and pop»em in the oven!

Place another
puff pastry square on top, brush some reserved egg mixture on edges
of dough and seal with fork.
And instead
of serving with a crusty, french loaf, I cut up a few
squares of puff pastry that I seasoned with a little thyme and rosemary, and I baked them in the oven just long enough for them to
puff up.

Using 4 strips

square, place the strips around the edges
of the previously cut
squares of puff pastry, overlapping at the corners.
Spray a small baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray and lay the two
squares of puff pastry on baking sheet.
Repeat with the second set
of 4 strips
of puff pastry on the second
square.
Another way to serve this amazing dish is to change up the presentation by putting a generous portion on an approximate four - inch circle or
square of puff pastry, which you have sprinkled with homemade coarse fluffy breadcrumbs as a base.
Cut in
square napkins, or using a ring, cut circle shapes
of the
puff pastry, brush with a little egg wash before baking and line with fresh coarse homemade breadcrumbs to catch any extra liquid (same as you would do making homemade strudel).
