When the driver decides where to race, another set
of scrutineers step in to decide the car is eligible for the rules of their championship.
If people's votes were fairly represented, under a proportional voting system, any given party which had control of a local authority would have to justify its decisions more frequently as a result of being monitored by a greater number
of scrutineers who more accurately reflect the will of local people.

Aston Martin Racing's number 97 Vantage GTE will race at this weekend's 24 Hours
of Le Mans in a brand new art car livery, having been revealed to the public at the race's
scrutineering earlier today.
The large crowd emerged — seemingly from nowhere — the instant the cars were disgorged from the delivery trucks and dropped onto the concrete
scrutineering apron
of the Rockingham Motor Speedway, and now we're surrounded.
Instead
of having to conform to a thick booklet
of rules set out by the FIA, the CRC allows competitors to enter larger, 2 - litre engine'd cars with bigger, 35 mm restrictors, wearing aero - kits and bodywork that would send
scrutineers into a tape - measure based frenzy at a WRC event.
The 80th running
of the Le Mans 24 Hours will begin with technical
scrutineering on Sunday and Monday, June 10 - 11, followed by practice and qualifying on Wednesday, June 13, and Thursday, June 14.

After the team went through the
scrutineer process and then had their «official» team photo taken, Doug asked for a moment in which the entire team donned berets and fake mustaches and posed for an «unofficial» photo much to the delight
of the fans.
Our first day here, Monday, was packed with activities from start to finish, with
scrutineering in the town — always a huge event — plus photo shoots and bits and pieces in relation to the 50th anniversary
of Corvette competing here at Le Mans for the first time.

of the 56 cars entered in the 83rd running
of the 24 Hours
of Le Mans passed through
scrutineering in the Place de la Republique in the heart
of the city.

of the highlights for residents
of Le Mans is the
scrutineering process that happens in the middle
of town.
But the
scrutineers discover that Kwech's fuel tank was three gallons bigger than regulation — and in a ruling reminiscent
of the tire controversy at the 1976 Spanish Grand Prix (as depicted in «Rush») Kwech is disqualified.

The YRCC argued that the
scrutineers miscounted the votes by counting a proxy
of 33 votes, made on behalf
of Skyrise Developments Ltd., as just one vote.
Five
of the six
scrutineers in the YRCC AGM swore affidavits that the proxy was not present at the AGM or the recount, but Farrah and property managers Guido Serafini and Barbak Ardalan stated the opposite, according to the decision.
(5) The ballot box may be moved by the poll officials to facilitate voting by an elderly or disabled elector but where the box is so moved it may be accompanied by any
scrutineer present and a record
of any such action and any objection taken by a
scrutineer shall be made in the poll record opposite the name
of the elector.
(3) Not more than one
scrutineer for each candidate at any one time shall be permitted to remain in the polling place during the time the poll is open, and at the counting
of the votes.
59 (1) The deputy returning officer shall complete a prescribed statement
of the poll, accounting for all the ballots supplied to him or her by the returning officer, and the statement shall be signed by the deputy returning officer and poll clerk and may be signed by any candidate or
scrutineer present.
(2.1) For the purposes
of subsection (2), it is sufficient that the
scrutineer is entitled to vote in another electoral district or would be entitled to do so if an election were being held there.
(2) Any candidates or
scrutineers present may write their signatures across the flap
of any envelope containing ballots and may also affix their seals.
(5) On the general polling day, the deputy returning officer and the poll clerk shall, at the hour fixed for the closing
of the general poll, and in the presence
of such
of the candidates or their
scrutineers as are present, proceed to count the ballots cast.
(2) Any candidate or
scrutineer present may affix his or her seal or write his or her signature across the flap
of the sealed poll return envelope or the sealed official tabulation envelope.
The equipment must not be used in a way that enables the choice
of an elector to be made known to an election official or
scrutineer.
(4) The deputy returning officer shall make a note in the poll record
of every objection taken to a ballot by a candidate or
scrutineer and shall decide the objection, subject to review as hereinafter provided.
(2) Any
scrutineers present during the fifteen minutes before the opening
of the poll are entitled to have the ballots counted in their presence and to inspect all other materials relating to the poll.
