Chicken Jalapeño
Sausage can be prepared in a number
of ways and added to a variety
of dishes, including: whole, accompanied with fresh vegetables,
sliced to give kick to a kabob or out
of the casings as a new twist on gourmet tacos or even chili.
Peel & Reseal packages are available in a number
of sizes, and can hold deli meat
slices in addition to breakfast
sausage and
chicken or beef strips.

of Trader Joe's Italian
Chicken Sausage and it was great.
I did use my homemade
chicken stock instead
of water and used some cooked, crumbled turkey spicy Italian
sausage cooked with some
sliced onion.
You could use ground
chicken in place
of chicken sausage, or you could use cured
sausage and thinly
slice them.
2 quarts
chicken stock 1 tablespoon olive oil 2 large carrots, roasted and diced 2 celery stalks,
sliced 2 medium onions, peeled and chopped 2 cloves garlic, peeled and
sliced 3 - 4 cups
of roasted pumpkin flesh (whatever you end up with after roasting and peeling your 4 - pound pie pumpkin) 1/2 pound freshly ground chorizo
sausage * cut into chunks 1 small bunch parsley, finely chipped (about 2 tablespoons) 1 tablespoon Madras curry powder Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Top each toast with a
slice of the
chicken sausage, followed with a spoonful

Top each apple
slice with a
slice of the Sweet Apple

Marinated
chicken, mushrooms, and
slices of Chinese
sausage are piled on top
of steamed rice and served with a sprinkle
of green onions.
Meanwhile, brown the whole
chicken sausages in 1 tsp
of olive oil in a pan to make them easier to
slice.
By the time we finally approach owner Doug Sohn behind the counter, I have my order ready: a
chicken Cordon Bleu dog (
chicken sausage, asiago cheese, and fried prosciutto) and a Luganega
sausage topped with garlic pesto aioli, slow roasted tomato
slices, and a generous heaping
of burrata cheese.
I have sooooo many food memories from my childhood... I'm not sure what that says about me... some
