One of my favorite breakfasts is a sliced boiled egg atop a piece
of sprouted grain bread with avocado.
I used the primal diet (along with a slice
of sprouted grain bread almost everyday) to lose a LOT of weight last fall, not to mention my cycle regulating.

of the sprouted grain bread have 8 grams of protein on their own.
In addition to my favorite snack bars, I also love avocado toast or just a slice
of sprouted grain bread or Paleo Bread with a tablespoon of almond or peanut butter and a few cacao nibs for topping.
Here's my recipe: Heat your pan on medium, brush coconut oil on the outside of two slices
of sprouted grain bread, place one slice of bread in the pan (oil side down), add one serving of BabyBel Light cheese shredded or sliced on the slice, and place the other slice of bread on top with the oil side out.

In 2005, Peggy soaked some wheat
grains in a Mason jar filled with water, dried them, ground them with a small home mill, and made her first loaf
of sprouted flour

Still, if you're curious, my favorite mix is about half and half
bread and cake flour by weight (200 grams each), or, in the case
of the craggy cookies pictured above, a mix
of bread flour, cake flour, and a whole
grain flour like white whole wheat,
sprouted wheat, rye, spelt, etc..
There is a point
of anti-nutrients like phytic acid that are present in whole
grains, and there are practices you can do to help minimise their impact (such as selecting a long - fermented sourdough
bread and soaking your
grains), but if you're eating a well - balanced, nutritious diet most
of us will not lose sleep if we forget to soak and
sprout (and in fact phytic acid can help in preventing disease).
* My family does best on a mostly gluten free diet — the exception I make is for challah
bread I make for Shabbat (Sabbath)-- either a
sprouted whole
grain challah or variations
of my sourdough no - knead
bread.
Rich and creamy, with just the right amount
of salt, I've been eating it on everything from
sprouted grain bread...

of bread is incomparable to other traditional

In a nutshell, I wanted super hearty
sprouted grain breads + lots
of beans + high (er) fiber baby food pouches + chia - seed laced fruit smoothies and tons
of water.
I've tried the Ezekiel
sprouted grain bread, but even I (the most whole -
grain loving member
of my family) found it to be tough and not so tasty that I wanted more.
We got rid
of processed snacks and things full
of sugar and dyes and we opted for almond milk,
sprouted grain bread, and lots more veggies.

of sprouted bread, cooked pasta, brown rice (Some decide to wait until molars come through before introducing
grains.

And I feel better when I ditch most

grains — even whole ones — that had me in a vicious cycle so I can safely enjoy very modest amounts

grains.
Beware
of commercial
grains and pre-made cereals, pastas and
bread — unless they're
sprouted or fermented, you're not getting the full benefit
of the complex carbohydrates you're taking in — not to mention the refining process most
grains undergo strips them
of much
of their fiber and natural nutrients, causing our blood sugar to spike when we consume them.
This nutrient - dense
bread is loaded with good - for - you
sprouted grains, legumes and seeds, and as the
grains are
sprouted, the
bread is easier to digest, plus it increases the bioavailability
of the vitamins and minerals you consume.
The
grains are
sprouted, and made without milled flour, so this
bread also touts the benefits
of increased digestibility, increased vitamins (like B and C), and easier absorption
of minerals.
Unless you're opting for a minimal amount
of sprouted grains, get rid
of tortillas, sourdough, white
bread, whole
grains and brown rice.
You'll eat plenty
of oily fish (salmon, mackerel, herring), leafy greens (cabbage, brussels
sprouts, kale), game meats, rye
bread and other whole
grains, berries and low fat dairy products.
