Discretion being the better part
of valor, the conservative configuration almost immediately provides more
intervention than it's worth, with the torquey engine easily breaking the rear tires loose and the
stability control violently yanking them back.
Even better, the
stability and traction
control system largely stays out
of the way, the only time you feel
intervention is delays in throttle response and that's only when the tires are in mid-slide, so you shouldn't be asking for throttle anyway.

of four - wheel drive as standard does at least provide the A8 with superb traction, and its ability to carry big speeds through fast corners without premature
intervention of the
stability control system, even on damp roads, is impressive.

We've tested each
of the aforementioned extensively this winter in concert with the 2002 MDX (which didn't have
stability control, making it really fun) and there seems to be two schools
of thought on how to manage engine and braking to
control yaw: Either kill almost all power when slip is encountered or let the driver drive through the slip with moderate
intervention.
As an alternative to normal operating status, the driver can activate M Dynamic Mode (MDM) by means
