Having just written an article on how good a signing Xhaka is, before he has kicked a ball or even been announced, I thought I might as well go all out and discuss who i feel will be the best option to sit next to him, I feel he is the only player certain
of starting in midfield next year.

I personally don't see Arsenal beating City not because we can't but because the central
midfield area is not reliable.A player like Coquelin must
start tomorrow
in place
of Xhaka who can't defend.I would rather we changed our formation to 4 -2-3-1.
It is only by admitting that we have lots
of midfield talent and we should make use
of it and that real defense actually
starts in the
midfield.
It's very unfortunate news for Coquelin if this does turn out to be the case, because the French
midfielder has clearly put
in some well recognised performances to keep Granit Xhaka out
of the
starting eleven.

Still, the eleven that
started in Portugal is still enough to rival anyone
in the world, with Manuel Neuer, Rafinha, Jerome Boateng, Dante and Juan Bernat at the back, Philipp Lahm, Xabi Alonso and Thiago Alcantara
in midfield, and Mario Gotze, Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski
in attack — world class quality
in almost every position, and yet, no sign
of being able to work a way around their tactically smart opponents.
