studio wanted to capture the feeling
of being alone in deep
space.

above the cliché

studio space in the city centre for those involved (its name comes from its postcode district).

Studio (Science Fiction)» (2015), which depicts the split halves
of an eggshell hovering
above a flying saucer / fried egg, the edge
of its white perimeter forming the words «THE
STUDIO» against the starry blackness
of outer
space.
In the likes
of the artist's own home
studio, the display seamlessly mirrors the physical constraints
of an apartment
space, nodding to the domesticity
of the found objects on the floor
above.
Primarily designed to house the Cooper Union's School
of Engineering and School
of Art, the new building's first eight
above - ground floors are populated by classrooms, small engineering laboratories, study lounges, art
studio space, and faculty offices.
On Saturday, the
above - mentioned DIY workshops and urban adventures (plus lots more), take place at GOOD's Pop - Up Community Center where 24 local vendors will convene at Atwater Crossing, a creative collection
of industrial buildings converted into an Arts and Innovation Complex, with artisanal manufacturing facilities,
studios, a yoga
space, and theaters.
The 2 piece bath in the upstairs
studio above the garage was just the first
of many major renovations planned with that
space.

space by building a bookcase divider wall, that conceals a
studio for Jennifer behind it...
