brownies turned out VERY

I've had a similar experience... without wanting to sound negative, I have made a couple

sweet recipes and did not like them at all (the choc chia cookies and
sweet potato brownies)... I have made quite a lot
of raw or cooked «clean» deserts that tasted great but these were not good at all.
Also, I find 5 or even 6 generous tablespoons
of cacao powder work better than 4 as they make the
brownies much more chocolaty and disguise the
sweet potato flavour a bit better.
And one
of the most is this vegan
sweet potato brownie.
The book is filled with over a hundred amazing recipes, almost all
of which are totally new — plus I've included a couple
of old favourites from the blog, including
sweet potato brownies, raw
brownies and superfood bread as I know that none
of us can live without those!
I think it's definitely worth a try and yes they would cook the same way, I think for this recipe they would work absolutely fine but maybe not for something like the
sweet potato brownies which requires that sticky sweetness
of sweet potatoes!
My original recipe for

i had the amount
of dates you used, but when i made these two recipes, the date flavor was very overpowering and i could barely taste any strong
brownie - like flavors or even the
sweet potato (for this one!).
I can see that the substitution wouldn't work with the
sweet potato brownies though — having said that we gobbled the batch
of those soooooo fast we barely tasted them We just love love love your book and my daughter was utterly incredulous that «the actual * real * Ella» had «actually» emailed us
